What Im sorry but I was under the impression that delaying forge was to get it fully ready. A basic file browser where you have to be in an active roster to share stuff is absolutely ridiculous.
Very few games have meaningful content release on a monthly basis... unless i'm playing the wrong games. Forge is the one big update that will (hopefully) bring in a huge crowd of custom game players who just can't stick around and play matchmaking on traditional playlists all day. After forge the new stuff will just be icing on the cake because besides missing game types for forge related games, there wasn't too much that I missed from a classic halo game.
This remix crap really needs to stop. We already have an extremely limited number of maps in the game, and this cuts that number in half. It's just lazy game design.
The other big MP games that Halo wants to compare itself too, LoL, SC, COD, CS etc. Hell, even old Halos had regular updates but I didnt seen "SUSTAIN" branded everywhere.
Ok. I still think it will work. Also, not every game has monthly content updates. Sure, most have updates and hotfixes, but content every month? Not that I have played.
I might eat my words, but Overgrowth looks a little more significantly different. Not to be an apologist. More like wishful thinking.
I don't know if id describe any of the Halo 5 maps as "beautiful", especially when you've got halo 3 as an example.
Halo 5's active roster shows all your friends (not just who is online), so you can add someone as a friend and download their fileshare.
Really? I mean I agree on most of the maps, not a big fan of the city-UNSC aesthetic when its every single map in the game. But Coliseum looks pretty, Fathom has probably the coolest backdrop, and Overgrown looks great. Which maps in Halo 3 do you consider most beautiful?
Colieseum is literally atrocious next to any H3 forerunner map. Fathom is the same exact recycled resources from all the other human maps, none of which I care for. Overgrown? The plaza remix? So it's plaza, with some branches and stuff and green ambient lighting...and the same recycled pieces.. Yeah no. I think the ugliest Halo 3 map looks artistically better than the best Halo 5 map, take your pick.
