    Can I use triggers with wind? Will I still be able to make jump pads using trait zones? Will people no longer get stuck in lifts. Are teleporters finally just zones and we can mold them in to any size. Will people ever stop making cross map teleporters that don't have a line of site between them? It is fine when it is not cross map for them to have a los. Can I make functioning stairs? Will I be able to rotate object properly at any angle now using rotation snap? Are there animals, npc's, etc. Last one is a troll because I know that is probably a hard **** no.

    MAN CANNONS AND ARC CONTROL
    The new features for man cannons will really amaze you. We will have arc control with the parabolic curve visible while in forge mode. This gives us the ability to fine tune the strength of how we shoot players taking lifts. You won't need to use trait zones in combination with these in the future. The new lift mechanics are much more reliable than previous, I was running around on foot and personally didn't find myself getting stuck at all.

    i read in the article the words "vehicle pad" is that like the weapon pads in arena where say a neutral wraith would spawn at a certain time or is it like dominion?

    Can't comment about a lot, but people will never stop making cross map teleporters...lol

    With the Gimbal tool you can rotate your objects any way you want :)

    You can probably figure out the AI question...lol

    I couldn't possibly get more excited by all this awesome news. What an excellent job they have done upon improving Forge! The possibilities are truly becoming endless.
    I will think about some slick questions tomorrow, for now I'll just be that tired European citizen getting his sleep and enjoy the many sweet dreams about this amazing Forge to come.

    I couldn't agree more, the first few days after being introduced to our new tools were spent with very sleepless nights just dreaming up new map designs. Finally we have abitious tools for the ambitious minds.

    While I can't answer your question directly, I can say that there are new structural objects which are much smaller than 1x1's. So if you're heart desires, you could make things more visually detailed and accurate than previously allowed. With color appropriation, decals and effects, I think aesthetic creations will take off in a whole new way.

    Awesome that you guys got to go out to this! Maybe next time I'll be able to join you guys. ;) Looking forward to forging with all of you.

    Will any of the maps you made over the week there carry over or be worked on by the devs? That would be pretty rad if they were.

    Did you ask :343: about a Community Creation Playlist? If not, then do you think that this new Forge will lead to one?

    By the way, very cool seeing names I recognized in an official 343 video on Halo 5's Forge. Great for you guys.

    I guess I do have some questions that you may or may not be allowed to discuss.

    There is mirroring, correct?
    And not likely that we will see object resizing, huh?

    And more of an opinionated question, Think we will get canvas dlc? Sand maybe. If you can say anything, did you guys talk about that possibility at all?

    Did they finally solve the problem of when reloading a map pieces were slightly moved off axis? That was always an issue that grinded my gears.

    Aside from that really cool to see 343 getting people well known from the community involved. Gives me great optimism in what 343 will be able to do with Halo in the future.

    X2Sora just asked one of my questions, so here goes: Are we able to select a group of blocks (say, a custom Pelican/Phantom/etc.) and save that as an "object" to be loaded onto another map? If so, I'm sure there are plenty of people that would benefit from someone building these structures and making them available through File Share.

    And am I the only one that felt like Christmas came early when this was all announced?

    Sorry Blaze, we can only expand on the information released today either in the blog or pertaining to the video. All of the other unannounced feature related questions have to be tucked away until its officially confirmed or unconfirmed.

    As for the Sand canvas:
    Something that is HUGE that no one is commenting on is that this forge is not just going to be a drag and drop release. In the past, forge is created and released to the public. There is a period of correction to make sure that all bugs are fixed and then no further updates are required. There is going to be a large change with that with Halo 5. We will have continued support to expand features for forge during Halo 5's entire lifetime leading up to Halo 6. Its up to the community to band together and collectively vocalize what features we would like to see implemented.

    It's a little hard to put too much conversation into that aspect just ye, since the rest of us don't know what other features haven't been shown yet, so we don't know what else to hope for yet for a later update. I'm thrilled by the possibilities, though.

    Might as well ask another question... From the looks of things, most of the new pieces are very clean, geometrically speaking. I'm guessing this means z-fighting won't be as big of an issue?

    Edit: for some reason the quote tag wraps my entire post, and it won't save the change... Ah well. Another question I just thought of. Are individual piece/piece group limits (like only 100 walls total) a thing of the past?

    Z-FIGHTING
    There is a new feature to deal with Z-Fighting called trans-snap that allows the adjustment of your object to align to an invisible grid down to the decimal degree. This is highly useful for correcting z-fighting and was one of my favorite primary workflow tools for when I was beta testing. If you are as obsessive about alignment and fighting as I am, there are tools in place for you to use for correcting them. There are also many different ways to address alignment depending on your workflow. For example, some people might prefer to use magnets for their ease of use.

    You should be pleased to hear that forge now runs on dedicated servers, so the issue misaligning forge pieces due to connection errors or host changes has been addressed.
