Its "Reflex" and it has a really amazing map editor with object stretching and vertex editing. I would look into it if I were you.
Thanks, and War summed it up. Thank you War. Here is gameplay on it during the showcase/announcement for CTF (since it's still in early access) and Boxr touney. It's in the inprogress state as far as art. PromEUs is doing a great job with it.
Blaze, this map looks fantastic. I think you did a great job with the spaces keeping movement mechanics in mind while designing. So they are using your map for the official CTF tournaments? I think art has come a long way since the early photos you posted. How was that handled, did you reach to PromEUs and ask him to help with art?
Thanks. Yeah, I hate doing art. I'm actually against most theming to be honest past creating landmarks for awareness and player to environment contrast. So the early photos were my half assed art just to make each area stick out a bit. It is the primary CTF map for the game at the moment but the devs are sort of working on their own and looking into more of mine. The second one began testing today. And longish story. How promeus got into doing art for it was that I finished the main layout, another forger (Warlord wossman) helped me out with it a bit and was there as a consultant since I'm not familiar with all the tricks and such in the game. Then I kind of disappeared for awhile due to CTF not being in the game what so ever and us being on art. While I was gone, he was showing it off to people while we waited and he showed interest in it and unskinned the entire map and figured out what style he wanted to do. While that was going on, the devs finished up a beta for CTF and gave us the update so we can work on it before release. Lots and lots of testing went on and he became their main art guy.
If you haven't already heard, Forge mode in Halo 5 has just been officially announced and the features are nothing short of our highest expectations. Today we will be covering any questions you may have about our recent visit to studios and 7 day exposure to the new tools.
To be clear, we cannot disclose any information which 343 did not reveal themselves. However, we are able to clarify on anything that they have made public.
Terrain is getting a unique update that will allow the textures of our individual terrain sheets to seamlessly flow from one piece to the other. This will create an effect where it will be impossible to visually detect where one terrain shape ends and one meets.
I noticed in the object color area a selection that stated: Glossiness. Can you clarify on exactly what type of colors, textures, and overall look we will be working with? All neon plastic? Any gritty, darker infection like colors? Metal? Cement? Wood?
I was going to ask the same thing Colson asked. So I'll ask something else instead, was the snow from a different map ? Or does the map effect editing allow you to change the general climate ?
with object welding and the ability to script actual object movement, would it be possible to, say, making an entire moving ship for survivors to defend while zombies flood in? how much restrictions are on this sort of thing? object welding and the new scripting i think, from what has been announced so far, the biggest changes most impactful changes.
What about vehicles? Is there AIs? What about the weapons? We can place the Warzone's weapons? What about particle effects?
Hello, just some questions, can we change the terrain (like create some little mountains or holes)? Can we change the texture of some objects?
