I'm putting the final touches on my latest puzzle map and want to provide a nice, simple ending for the players. Currently, I'm using KOTH as the game type. I've placed a Hornet at the end of the map's journey. It is set as a hill that counts down as soon as you enter it, ending the game a few seconds later. My problem with this is that you can see the hill marker on the rear underside of the Hornet, and I'm not really happy with the references to the Hill by the announcer. I'd prefer the game just ends when you enter the hornet without any reference the the hill and without seeing the hill marker. Is there any other game type that I could use to end the game without the hill showing or reference to the KOTH game type. It seems like all the other game types will have similar references from the announcer that I'd prefer not to hear. It's not a huge deal, but I'd prefer simply entering the Hornet and having the game end. I wouldn't mind perhaps flying off a bit in the hornet and having the end triggered by some trigger volume. Any ideas from other puzzle maps that might be appropriate?
I'm pretty sure all the gametypes have some form of announcement with their objectives, so I don't think you can create an ending to your puzzle map without some form of reference from the announcer. I wouldn't consider it an issue. Having a map that ends with the announcer's voice is still better than a puzzle map that has no clearly defined ending.
