i thought the timer started when the powerup was picked up? but setting max above what is on the map just allows the weapon or powerup to spawn while in use.
Yeah, we had problems timing the camo. We were just running around trying to figure things out and noticed that two of us had camo at the same time.
So could someone please shed some light on this. From what I've understood when we submitted maps is that we didn't have to worry about the spawns and such as the CC's could/will fix them if they were in the final selection. Now Eden has been chosen as one of the two that made the cut and will be used in the HCS, however the spawns have never been fixed. The problemspawns are pretty much the spawns that are placed where you can get up above as well. E.g. The red hill spawns, sometimes people will spawn there if somebody is on red bridge. So basically the spawns below the enemy team are not blocked and thus the other team can spawn under the enemy team. So could someone of the CC's explain why the spawns have never been fixed? Also please somebody tell me why the powerweapons were removed from Eden? If you can't say because of 343 not letting you or if you know who is in charge of the final small changes then PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD let me know!! @NOKYARD @WARHOLIC
Sorry if you're not satisfied with how things are playing but the map submitted to was the latest version from your FS. I would normally be able to work on maps more closely but am currently out of town visiting family and won't be back home until late Tuesday. If you would like to make adjustments to your map, simply let me know and we can coordinate this together. I'm working closely with Chunk at the moment to help remedy CTF spawning along with other minor gameplay adjustments. Lets talk about your map, shoot me a PM.
oh is that all? if camo is on a static timer using scripting then if you pick camo up not long before its about to respawn again then you can have multiple people on the map with camo. if you pick it up when it spawns as you should be doing then this shouldn't be an issue.
It's not static, as 343 in all their logic decided static isn't the way to go... With it being retarded H2A style dynamic, it can be a bit tricky as weapons don't start their respawn timer until they've been exhausted/despawned. With camo, this might mean the respawn timer doesn't start till after the ~30 second camo has been completed... Then again, this is 343 we're talking about, so camo might have some completely way out from left field level retarded respawn settings. --- Double Post Merged, Apr 13, 2015 --- Also, GG 343! Way to chose unpolished maps and putting them in without addressing much needed issues like spawning. Yet another reason why the selection should have been limited to polished maps only. :/
As for camo, currently its on dynamic (as seen on warlord) but their could be some bug where it the timer starts when it runs out/the carrier dies.
its on dynamic? k was it taken off the scripting as well? that might cause it to spawn at odd times otherwise (i think)

The dude was implying these were the best maps out of FH, which we know is false. From there it's a slippery slope. If those are the best and they're not good enough, we forgers as a whole aren't good enough.
Schnitzel is right though, people assume these are the best (after all, 343 did say at first we were the main people involved) so naturally, they will blame forgehub, especially those that think we shouldn't have had anything to go with the competitive side of halo in the first place. What a colossal failure this whole thing has been, I expect them just to leave it for all of season 2, and then halo 5 just uses all dev maps. This may be the last you see of forge involved with competitive play.....until halo 5 gold pro
I was wanting to see Season 2 fail... But this disappoints me, as this isn't S2 failing, it's 343i making it look like the forgers were incompetent and failed. Ugh! Well guys, we will always have Gold Pro. Guess we can go back to low drama levels and enjoying our own casual/competitive forging.
Halo 5 GP will be fun, a lot of options to tinker with, and with HCS having sprint we don't have to waste time trying to fight 343/pros, and can have forgehub involved too since HCS will most likely not use forge
