When submitting or releasing a finished map please submit it to the map database. if your map is a work in progress then post it here in forge discussion and put a WIP note in the title so people are aware it is still a work in progress.

to submit a map go to the map database
    [IMG]

    click on submit your map
    [IMG]

    select your game and category
    [IMG]

enter a map name and brief description, brief description is a short description that shows under the maps name in the database. the version number and co-forger are optional.

choose a banner image, the banner image is the image that people will see at the top of your map page. to add a banner you can drag and drop the image from a local folder into the box or you can click on the box for a filebrowser window to appear.

you can also click edit and move the banners position instead of editing it manually. click done when you're finished
    [IMG]

select a thumbnail image, this is the image that people will see when searching through the database, process is the same as adding a banner.

the third box is for the slideshow so choose multiple images. you can also add 2 youtube videos as well.

enter detailed description of the map and tick the information fields
    [IMG]

finally add fileshare link but currently their are no filesahares that can be accessed outisde of the game so just put any old link in their that doesn't break the rules and then click add map.

after clicking add map you will see a loading icon pop-up, don't worry if this takes awhile because it's uploading the files for the slide show, once they finish uploading it will add the map to the database pretty quickly.

if you have any issues please let us now, the site is still being developed so things are subject to change.

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're saying. Is it that you don't have any way to post pictures?

yes at least i think i dont have a way to post pictures. I only have my xbox one thats how i get on here and every other web site. I could leave all the info for my maps and my gt but with out the pics i dont think people would blindly check them out. If there is away to put the pics on the map posting with just using my x1 i would love to know thanks

Ok. Understood. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with how browsing the internet works on the XB1, so I don't know if there's a way you could post pics. Hopefully someone else will be able to offer some advice.

Here's my recommendation in the mean time:
    - Using the Game DVR on the XB1, make a walkthrough video of each map.
    - Use Upload Studio to upload the videos (use the name of the map as the file name).
    - After you're finished uploading the video's, send me a message on here, telling me what your GT is and that your videos are ready.
    - Make a post in the What Are You Working On thread that consists of the name and description of each map (# of Players, Playable Gametypes, etc.).
    - After you've made the post, I can grab the videos from XboxClips and add them to your post.

If you're able to post links from XboxClips yourself, then you won't even need my assistance, but I'm happy to help if you need it.

So where you say "don't worry if this takes awhile because it's uploading the files for the slide show" is it normal for it to be stuck on laoding for over 1 hour? I had 6 pictures and a 5 minute youtube link.

it shouldn't take that long even if your upload speed is terrible. i meant more 5 - 10mins.

I'm having issues with this. Ive been trying to submit my map in the map database and i can't get past the loading icon part. I tried several times and doesn't work. The longest time I've waited was 12 hours and it's still loading. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I need help! :(

12hrs? thats pretty bad and still without luck.

have you checked if you have scripts allowed? firefox add-on such as no script can interfere with things, great for security but annoying at times.

what about viruses? another user who was having the same issue and after clearing out a local infection it ended up working.

are you sure you filled out all the required fields correctly?

what about a youtube link? i've seen some members have issues with this when submitting before, if you have one try it without?

can try clearing your cache as well. if nothing works then i'm not sure what else there is you can do.

Huh? I tried without adding a YouTube link and didn't work, but when i did the same thing again but now without adding no links at all like the halowaypoint link and custom gametype link, it sorta worked. It brought me back to the map database lobby, but now i can't find my map anywhere? Not sure if it worked. Ugh! I am so close! lol

Wasn't sure if it was the fact that I have been without a computer for a while but just really felt the urge to post a map the best way I could even if it meant taking pictures through my tablet and submitting it that way; come to find out just now, it is a minor set back that we are all currently dealing with! So, you could post your pictures that way :)

    It's stickied here - http://www.forgehub.com/threads/master-forge-resources.148358/
In preparation for the site upgrade, we've consolidated the stickied threads as much as possible. I realize it's not ideal, but it's the lesser of two evils.

you're gonna have to bare with me. I'm pretty quick to request things without looking around carefully.

That is perfectly fine. I just noticed it was something nice to not stay on the top.

lol. I totally forgot about that last incident until I just read your post. Not a problem.
It would actually be best if it could be stickied on the Maps page, but that's literally not possible right now.
It's not the easiest thread to find at the moment. It's probably a good thing it's bumped to the top of the forum right now for everyone that's working on their last minute submissions.
