The idea was that it's the remaining hand by a stone giant (Golem) trying to protect a dying artificial sun, and that a building was built around it. Cuz why not.
this is some quake **** right here. cleany forged with creative, simple and cohesive aesthetics, and i'm glad to see your ramped platforms on full display (seriously corona was a favorite of mine). i hope you don't mind if i borrow those triggers.
For the triggers, I just randomly remembered seeing them on Shrine in an HCS event, and thought they may work well for adding color to the map. Anyone can use them as long as they pay me royalties. Seriously, I'd like to see them used more often (and much more creatively than I did), so go for it. I liked Corona too. For this map, I used a similar concept of triangulating the power item positions. I'm particularly interested in seeing how the Sniper/OS dynamic plays out, since both will always spawn at the same time.
You have to pay me royalties to use those. I used those on that one crappy map in that is in my crappy thread.
well just about a week left and - unsurprisingly - i've scrapped everything i've built. i'm no good with deadlines so i might end up sitting this one out
Here is my map that I'll be submitting to the 1v1 contest. http://xboxclips.com/Obi Wai Kenobi/091de156-3bb4-493d-aa15-dd69981501a2 Only have to play some campaign now, so that I show up on the leaderboards. Edit: Also made this when I first started forging in MCC, so might as well submit it. http://xboxclips.com/Obi+Wai+Kenobi/61c9eb50-0358-4b37-a40c-92366bd9cca0
New to ForgeHub but not forge whatsoever. I would like to find a few people to test out a new map I made. I'm at budget and item count cap and looking for some judgment/suggestions. It's primarily a Warthog stunt map with sniping , general combat, and "hunting" of the Warthogs. Slayer/CTF/KOTH functionality. GT matches alias. Thanks
Have you run any tests at all yet? I ask because the item cap worries me. Maps with that many items have thus far proven to be unplayable with more than 1 or 2 players. Also, check out our customs thread for GT's of people that are interested in testing forge maps - http://www.forgehub.com/threads/gamertags-for-forge-customs-testing-custom-lobbies-list.148028/
I figured there would be some risk. I mostly play with a select 2-3 players I know IRL, and they aren't interested in forge so I never get to test it much. I would love to get 10 more and give big teams a go. If it bugs out due to the risk you're suggesting, what should I look for, and is it as simple as removing as many items as there would be players? Thanks for the link and the info.
It's not that simple, unfortunately. Check out this thread - http://www.forgehub.com/threads/byt...for-us-forgers-important-for-everyone.148327/
Got a 1v1 needs testing. Trying to squish on before the deadline. Power forged it in a day while my wife was recovering from a boob job. She was zonked out on pain killers & I forged my butt off.
Aaaaaaaaand.... still nothing from me. Got 'bout 2000 words left on my Master Thesis though, so I've got that going for me. After Friday I'm pretty much free from Uni for possibly life.
You don't want pics yet, lol. They are all bruised & weird looking. Apparently it takes a bit for them to settle in properly. As far as the map, I'll see what I can do. Once again I'm afraid it may not be up to par with what I have seen so far aesthetically but we all know that doesn't matter right guys? But hey, it's an asym 1v1... Way out of my comfort zone.
Ambrosia is really shaping up to be a good 2v2/FFA/small team objective map, but having a good 1v1 on it seems to depend on the player. Aggressive players will end the game in about 7-8 minutes, while a campy player will make the match go to time... I'm still submitting the map as a formality, but I really don't expect to win anything... (although I'll eat my shoes if proven wrong. Hey Chunk, you wanna see me eat my shoes? Record it, throw it on the front page lol ) Edit: Don't wanna double post. I think my next project after I get the last of the kinks ironed out and gametypes set up on Ambrosia is to bring Turf into H2A. Since it's a reforge from H4, it shouldn't take too long. Maybe HCS will be interested next season (Turf used to be a competitive map, right?)
so forge has been treating me well lately http://xboxclips.com/Korlash823/c904e511-e794-488d-ba9d-12640b347bed
