I finished Cerberus on Christmas, but have only been able to get some FFA on it, interested to see how 4v4 plays on it. I'll update it's thread later today with some video.
Yeah TaK... Back in the day of Reach in the MLGFF we had it heaps better than now, or so we can tell for the most part at the moment. It'll really come down to 343's stance in selecting forge maps, but I've got a bad feeling they'll cater to what the pros and event organizers want. UGC is already testing SaLoT's Pit Remake and has his Simplex remake as their official FFA map. That say's enough for anyone's concern about looking towards the forge community for anything in particular. :/
Hey Guys, nice to see you back ! Working right now on a symmetrical 4v4. Give me feedback in the discussion thread
Finished a remake from my memory of UT3's Arsenal just to get used to the objects in this game. I took some liberties on a couple aspects of the design though, and I guess it turned out pretty cool. Working on my own asym design now, probably about 35% done, I'll get screenshots of both if I get the chance
Record a walkthrough it is easier to do and easier to get a grasp of the map. Unless you are posting your map.
I thought you knew...the fact that the players can sit around for 75% of the game arguing about where the other team is and what they're going to do next makes it a great gametype. At least they're playing Oddball on it now also.
I turned on the stream last night while laying in bed... Fell asleep almost instantly. This map pool is so boring, it's a chore to watch people play.
Its a drafty version, so there's some pretty noticeable kinks in the forging, but that's the gist of the design. I want to redesign bottom mid, but I'm a little lost on how to tackle that. Also debating whether I should keep the lifts below the towers or move them beneath the bases.
So my brother got an xbox one for his birthday and we got mcc in the mail today. So it looks like I'm going to forge again. First going to make my Halcyon inspired map, however it's still on the drawing table. I am focussing the map to be used for KotH and hopefully in the HCS settings. As 343i likes its dynamic elements I have thought of an interesting dynamic element that shouldn't affect the gameplay too much. Aiming to have something finished before the end of the month as it is my brother's xbox one ofc.
Depends, if you continue to use the objects you have placed it will. If you keep these kind of objects down outside of this you will be fine.
Okay thanks, I was thinking to make the whole tunnel like this. Need to rethink it then. Also the water on Awash is shitty as ****. Wish I could make the same tunnels with water like on Salem :/
I would stay away from awash. I find the dynamic lighting to be a little too dark; and if you forge exactly like I do, you'll find a glare on one of the most crucial lines of sight.
That is very unfortunate, however Awash was the most appealing to me out of the three. Nebula reminded me of Impact and I hated to forge on that canvas. Skyward looks alright, but very bland. Looks like it would be pretty hard to make the map look appealing. I'll just give Awash a go first, gotta start somewhere right.
Here's a sneak peak outside of the Halo 5 forge map, "Pegasus". From what I can see so far, there is a single dedicated natural bank to build on. The water acts exactly as Halo 4 and Halo 2 Anniversary, no transparency, no change in atmosphere when underwater, no view of surface of water when underneath. I have a feeling we will be walking on water again...jesus christ
