This is probably going to be my final map and I'll be tweaking this one untill it plays as good as it can. The map looks like it has a really solid layout and it looks greattoo but I think it could use a few more LOS blockers beacause they are pretty long
Could you tell me which LOS's you mean? Cause from the game I played there isn't really a time or place where you feel that you are wide open.
Wow I'm a nut for aesthetics and I love your fountain idea omg that is very cool I can see this being used for so many different styles of maps from urban to natural. Maps also look fantastic I love the tunnel nice map will do and test when can
I didn't get a chance to play it beforehand and I still haven't but I have had a chance to do a fly through and I think it is actually fine with the los. I just thought that blue spawn and the top breidge were a little to open. The map is really well segmented though so I don't think it will be an issue though.
I really like the visuals of this map, you've done a bang up job of making it look like it fit's in the halo universe. Great job.
Thanks guys! Yeah I think blue spawn could be a little too open, but I have some ideas on how to fix that. But would like to test this out a bit first, before making any structural changes.
Soooo impressed by this map. Great layout. Top notch aesthetics. It's awesome to see everything finally come together for you with this project. I usually try to focus on what's wrong with maps to help people improve them. There's just not much to say though except nice job.
Salem II is 100x better than Salem I. The teleporter placement feels a little lazy in that dead end corner, but other than that, awesome map.
Kind of agree on that teleporter placement now that I rethink it, it was kind of a last minute solution. I'll see what I can do to make it more part of the map.
I don't see myself making anymore big changes to this map as my XBL is expiring in a couple days. I also added the Unity download link (HERE) to the op. So if a mod could move this to the right place for finished maps, it would be greatly appreciated!
From the screenshots this looks >>>>>> Salem I. I wasn't really a fan of Salem I's design what with the width of the ribs especially. Anyways, for atmosphere purposes, have you thought about adding aesthetic rock islands around the outside? It seems like it would feel strange to be on an island in the water surrounded by.. well.. no other islands. Especially since H4's water has no depth.
If only I could, I already used all the rocks/trees and Rock 4/5's unfortunately. I could delete some trees here and there, but that would make tunnel look a lot more dull imo.
