I'm working on my ideal of midship style map. I know there's already Onyx. But I want to show you guys this map.
Oh god you played FFA on Ark? I don't have any neutral initial spawn points or anything - sorry for any craziness that occurred. Acidity probably had an older version of the map too if it was the same as the version in Overkill's video. Glad you liked the map though. @DebonairHalo, I know I've already scolded you over at BE for making remakes and reimaginings, but I'll do it again here. Challenge yourself to do something of your own - you are capable of more than Warlock, Sanctuary and another Midship. You mentioned on BE you were working on an asym slayer/extraction map. I would pursue that instead. The forging and geometry in those middy screens looks really cool, so take some of those concepts and apply it to your asym.
It actually didn't play too terrible. Not that we were running a full lobby though, so it's not like the FFA spawns could get out of hand. I think we had 3 players, maybe 4. The only real problem I noticed (and obviously the spawns weren't meant for FFA like you said ) was one of the spawns. More than once someone spawned directly to my left (I was standing bottom right corner of the map beside the boat) in the open. Other than that, it played very well all things considered, and the aesthetics were beautiful. On another note, is that a modded canvas? It was hard to tell.
I know man. This was just something I wanted to do. Right now I'm really trying to do something unique but it requires time...
I am currently working on 2 projects I am confident about and one that needs a lot of work. First is called Monestary, and its a Collusus style 4v4 Comp. Map styled like a Monestary. The second is called Trapped, it is a new take on the 4v4 arena with a "jungle-gym esque" middle and sectioned play spaces. Meant for CTF primarily.
I'm on two coforges and also fumbling around with 1v1/2v2 concepts. My own things are terrible right now, but the coforges are awesome. Hopefully you'll all see more of them soon. I'm really excited about them both, and one is an entirely new attempt in forge for me. It should be good.
I have decided to let go of Novus. It's time to start anew. My final speech. Thanks to everyone who helped me in the development of this map. You guys are awesome.
A 6v6 semi vehicle-centric map that I have been working on for the past couple weeks. Almost done with the first edition of it!
I'm going to try and have a preview thread up for it by this afternoon. Just finished tweaking and adding gametypes to it.
Looks like a really cool idea and well forged, it's maybe structurally lacking in segmentation a little, though I'm not great when it comes down to design so I'm probably wrong I really like it otherwise, good luck!
APK is a robot. Be careful on Beyond Entertainment. I posted feedback on a couple maps, but now I can't see the responses (or a response to an argument) because I "bypassed the forum's new censor," even if the intention was to ask why a certain word was censored and not actual curse words. (I had to "bypass" the censor in order to show them the word I was talking about. I mean, come on). It's honest to God unethical. They are freaking robots over there. #BeyondMLGprobotPointHub - On the topic of forge: It costs money to add extraction decals (The actual objective piece). What the hell is this?
You can use a hill marker instead. It's free and it works fine. Just forge in Extraction and you can make the gametype label of the hill marker EXT_DECAL.
Ah it's alright. I just got rid of a couple brace larges and got the budget. Thanks anyways though, I'll keep that in mind for other projects. -------- My map, currently named Koffing, will be up in my file share in a few minutes. Just shut up spincycle...
