Never played runescape. Didn't know there was a second one.

Care to explain what happened? Quoting wikipedia doesn't count!

 

ten years ago roughly they went from a 2d game that resembled daggerfall to a 3d one that was better suited to expanding and updating, and easier to police the hacking. I guess they are updating the graphics or the coding again
