daww, makes me want to watch all these movies. Spoiler Is the Kizumonogatari novel being sold someplace or are you reading it online, Aschur? I hate to read any series whilst i'm currently watching its anime, but I would totally make an exception here. EDIT: Also, there's a new anime out that's apparantly very similar to Mirrai Nikki. I'm gonna give it a go tonight and get back with you guys. http://myanimelist.net/anime/16592/...kuen_to_Zetsubou_no_Koukousei_-_The_Animation
I saw the first episode of that, was waiting for the second to give my thoughts. I currently dont care much for the character design/art style. As for Kizumonogatari, there is only translations on the internet, no physical copies have been made of the translation.
I didn't like the intro exposition mostly because of a short attention span, and partly because it sounds kinda pretentious. (like most exposition scenes) The comedy was a lot better than I expected it to be. Ruby's voice was not nearly as annoying as I expected it to be. While some of the voice acting is a bit weird, because the voices are very sudden in a way weird to describe (it's like talking without starting to talk), or just the characters talking awkwardly, it's mostly alright. So yeah, pretty good.
I liked it. I thought the red haired dude (who I thought was a chick first...god damn anime) was a good way of building up early tension by giving you a clear enemy while also establishing the world RWBY is about. I mean, I like most of the things Rooster Teeth does so no complaints here.
RWBY was great. Bear in mind, the VA's for the main four aren't all professionals, three of them work at RT doing other stuff I can't remember who they are but they were on the RTX RWBY panel. I like the Huntress woman, she has that dominatrix feel to her. It's nice to see in the end credits that there's a lot more characters to come too, not just the four of them
Lindsey Tuggy : Ruby, she also does editing videos fro Achievment hunter. Barbara Dunkleman : Yang, she is also community coordinator Kara Edwards? : Wiess, she does makeup for the podcast and other **** too. And I don't know her name but Mile's (writer on Rwby and director/writer of season 11 RVB) girlfriend des the voice of Blake. Pretty much everyone on the show works for Rooster teeth in some other capacity Sky. More than a few of the actors they got to do parts in RVB back in season 8 now work for the company somehow. Like Shannan McCormick voice of Washington.
Jen Taylor is the notable exception I suppose. I wonder who else will from RT will do some VA work. Like they had Jack from AH in the Yellow trailer.
Jack does a lot of throw away characters. The perks of having people that work there doing voices is that if they ever need to redo a line for some reason they can just do it, instead of having to schedule it in somehow. That being said though I think Burnie did send almost everyone there to a short acting course at one point.
Anyone here remember/know of this movie? I remember watching it as a kid and am considering buying it on dvd. Watched a review of it recently and it was actually well recommended by the guy who usually doesn't give good reviews. Saying that it actually holds up well as far as the story goes even if the animation is very dated. And before you say it doesn't belong in here consider that the animation was done by then Topcraft the majority of whom later went on to form Studio Ghibli.
