Kettle Kreek Created by A Hungry Dino Map Description Kettle Kreek was originally designed and made on Halo 3's sandbox basement. However due to the item limits and restrictions, only so much could be done. Now on Halo 4's Forge Island, Kettle Kreek finally has its time to shine. Kettle Kreek is a symmetrical slayer map that features a large bridge crossing a dried up creek bed. It plays best with 4 - 14 players, depending on what gametypes you use. Kettle Kreek is set up for team based slayer gametypes and free for all gametypes too. Team or FFA Snipers is a very fun gametype to play on this map. Download Link: Halo Waypoint This is an overview of the map This is a close up of the bridge that spans the creek This is a picture from under the bridge which connects both sides of the creek This is the more watery side of the creek which features a rocket ordinance drop I've noticed most river/creek maps have trouble giving enough cover in the middle but this map does well with that. The towers overlooking the rocket ordinance have their windows blocked by glass so they cannot shoot down on players there who would have no cover. The other side of the creek also has lots of trees that serve as line of sight blockers. Let me know what you guys think! Criticism is always welcome. Thanks! PS: This is my first post. So if I'm doing something wrong, tell me please.
realy liking this first map which you have posted , considering the fact i have also just started and am trying to create a map which is well balanced and fun to play. However i see that you have mastered what seems to be fun and clean map on your first post . good job , keep up the good work .
Thanks man. I really appreciate it. A tip to any new forger I have is to practice, practice, practice. Practice makes perfect. You don't have to forge just to finish a map. It never hurts to load up a map and make random structures and buildings.
I'm noticing that there is a lack of cover on the structures, but aside from that this looks pretty good. Good to see some new names bringing interesting maps to the table. The amount of long range firefights that would happen here just seems unappealing to me personally, it's just not how I play shooters.
Not quite sure what structures you are talking about. Obviously there will be many long ranged firefights but if you prefer shorter ranged shootouts you should hang out in the creek bed and under the bridge. Down there you will get the kind of gameplay you are looking for. And as a side note, a lot of people think that the creek area is like no man's land down there and that they would get picked off easily if they go down there. This is not the case with this map since there are many line of sight blocks such as the trees and rocks so therefore the creek bed sees a lot of action.
Most of the first and second images. It just all seems very sparsely covered. And I would rather be up top where I have an advantage than below where I don't. Still, it's great that you are supporting both play styles.
