:D I feel so privileged. Thanks for the feedback guys I have been busy so sorry for the rather tardy feedback, but better late than never.

Starlight - I can't give that much feedback off the slayer game because of the lack of people and lack of balance between games. Sightlines did seem interesting and bottom floor got a good amount of traffic so that is all a good positive. The other game-type we tested (Dominion?) was a little harsh. People were really camping especially on bottom mid. If anyone got their hands on a shotgun the outcome was really devastating. So I would open the spots up a bit more and reduce the distance between each spot to make it easier to flush them out. Overall good progress and looking forward to a real game of slayer.

Tectonic - My map. So I am currently making some major changes based off all the feedback everyone has given me. The changes so far look promising and Juanez if possible I may need your help setting up One-Flag on my map.

Arboretum - I think another major contributor to why capturing flags was so easy is because we were constantly attempting to defend and attack simultaneously. Consequently our attention was divided and this made it easy for the flag runner to capture the flag. When we did focus on the flag runner I found it easy to stop them. The only troublesome area was green just because of the extra cover and structure that side of the map has. Reducing cover just by a tad bit would help tremendously. Look forward to your changes and playing on the map again.

Palisade - To be honest I was not a big fan of the towers. I found it very easy to camp the top part of the tower with any type of close quarter weapon. To fix you definitely are going to have to forge the tower yourself and make sure that camping there to that extreme is not possible. I also agree with letting some more light into the map because as of now the map lacks lighting.

Villainous - Despite being the team that dominate top mid I felt that some of the hills were just too brutal and in the open. When choosing hills you want a balance of making it easy to sweep with proper teamwork, but also making this true for defense. On this map when in the hill it was just not possible to contest against anyone on top mid. Speaking of the middle structure I felt that its mid level was somewhat frustrating because it didn't take me anywhere that the top didn't already. For people new to the map and exploring I can imagine the mid level frustrating them for those exact reasons.

Well that is all the feedback I have for today. I hope it helped you guys out if even only a little. Hope to see you all next week.

That is one funky pic of me with the railgun. Unfortunately I won't be able to give much for feedback over the next few months. I have two classes that will be taking most of my time over the summer.

I will be there. It is my one break during the week. I have 9 week to do my final design project for my degree. As well as job hunting.

So yeah we need to fill this lobby up a bit. Running 4v4 maps with 6 guys leaves things feeling a bit flat. Its always fun but not a true test of most maps.

Hey, my game-tag is LeadingChimera3, but unfortunately something unavoidable has come up and I am going to have to withdraw myself from the lobby this week. I hope all goes well, and I will try my best to get in next week. Thanks, sorry about that.

If anyone wants to do some late night testing tonight I will be on 10:30 EST on trying my best to get it done.

I think it is worth noting that if any of the maps played have a preview thread of some sort, members should be directed there to give their feedback as well as in the recap thread. We discussed it during one lobby but I am not sure if it has been put into practice yet.

While on the subject, a lot the maps I have played during TCOJ lobbies don't have a preview thread (at least not ones that I have seen). Many are long running projects that use TCOJ as a primary source of testing, a preview would be more helpful than a recap for these projects as all the feedback is in one thread instead of across multiple threads. It would be a lot healthier for the site as a whole too.

Recaps could still be used to provide links to preview threads as well as general discussion of the lobby, but detailed map discussion would be in the previews.

    What do you guys think?

This sounds like it will let people get real feedback on their map and allow them to reference back how much their map has changed and who gave them what ideas. GREAT IDEA! I'm not sure why the feedback wasn't left in the map threads before. I usually test maps I have already posted. It would be nice for the feedback I receive to be from people who have actually played on the map and not just someone looking at the pictures. I hope this is implemented this week.

I like this idea. We are one of the few forging groups active in this site and I am sure that posting previews could generate some activity. Only bad thing is we don't want to flood the forge discussion with our maps either. I will give this idea a try and see how it goes.

Yes we certainly do, forge discussion is for discussing... forge. It should be jam packed with map previews.

No worries - and thanks! Gonna try running a couple games on it tonight if the lobby is the right size. I may need to go early or late, depending, because 8 players is probably too many.

And I agree about the forge forum. We should be previewing all over it, because hardly anyone is anymore. That sub-forum should be, as far as I'm concerned, the cornerstone of this whole site. Not just for map previews but for all facets of forge discussion. So let's make it more active however we can.

That's odd. I was on at 6:45 EDT and never got an invite from you. I actually joined you for 5 minutes right at 7 and tried to talk to you, but your mic wasn't plugged in. Lomllocked was with me. Then we went into matchmaking, and eventually you went offline. I was just assuming your XBox was on but you weren't at it.

Granted though, no one ELSE was online, including Claymore and Sora. Chron got on a little late and we sent a couple messages back and forth.
