Yes, thumbnails definately. I could see lots of colors being bothersome visually, but I think the benefit outweighs that.

Some threads have their page navigation bugged. I noticed it a few minutes ago and will see what I can do to fix it.
I am a long time faithful dedicated member with features from a time where making a map took months of patience and trial and error & it took hours to merge one item just right. A majority of the members here now have no idea what it took to create a good map back then. You guys remove the architect rank and your dead to me.
Not to mention when/if we do achieve high traffic again it will be even more of an eyesore. It's been stated before, people aren't going to see a list of people (most of which they probably don't know on a personal level) and think: "Alright, I guess if these people were here, I need to be here". Just leave it collapsed by default, if you're curious about who has been here, take a look. Edit: Glad to see we don't have custom titles anymore. Any word on when my .GIF avatar will be removed as well?
I've gotten to that point where I used to come on here, see that there WAS activity and when I post hoping that person or people were still here, they aren't actually there, so then I just leave disappointing that there isn't any activity, even looking for Forge maps got boring cause all it did was make it seem like a new map was posted, but it was really an old map that got a comment and put to the front page.
Sorry for double posting but it really isn't an eye catch like I posted above, it just ends up leaving the person disapointed when they go to check out the activity, only to find the place is empty...
This is how I feel about it. Most of the architect ranks were achieved during H3. Most people on the forums don't understand what that was like and how the architect rank was very much respected back then. Taking that away from the members who earned it just to start fresh is not fair.
I think they were just reset. I was able to change mine, but I don't know if that's because staff and all that. Waiting for overkill to give some feedback on that. (accidentally hit edit on your post, whoops) Getting the hang of this.
I agree the rank should be removed going forward but not the rewards members got. A custom title and the special bar. The color has gone and went so losing that I don't think would be a big deal.
One way to improve the maps section would be an option to switch to a gallery-style view allowing you do see an image for each map before you click on it. Map posters would have the option to select a "cover-photo" otherwise it will automatically choose the first embedded image.
Shows how much I've been forging in Halo 4, In Reach they had a system thing like that with thumbnails and easily sorted maps and stuff what happened to that? I liked that.
I don't see how taking my color, bar or rank or custom title could better the site in any way shape or form period. It has nothing to do with anything in bettering the site or getting new members. It's a very "dooshy" move on your part & the time I've spent on & with this site means nothing if you're willing to wipe my work & dedication clear & start it over.
Architects having color creates confusion among new members as to who is and is not staff. Trust me, I rally for keeping the user group just as much as anybody, but when it comes to the custom color, I am in complete agreement with the arguments raised against it.
People should get the recognition for their past work. The color isn't essential to that. I think the bar and custom title should stay for the people that had earned it.
