Is that "family sharing" officially confirmed? If so, that is pretty good. Doesn't undo the used game stuff but still, good.

If they're trying to be like steam then why not emphasize that? Annoying that they've left us in the dark, seemingly, about all the good sides of this.

Now I get what they're going for, but I don't really like it. I think it's premature to basically make internet mandatory for gaming, at least so soon. But whatever, guess the future's going that way, hopefully people realize the bad side of always being plugged in.

Lets disregard the fact the console is limited to 21 countries and around half of the US doesnt have broadband internet.

Just focusing on their wish to be similar to steam, I don't even like the way steam does some things, so I already know how things will make me feel if I give in and buy an X1 (Highly unlikely at this point). Though, all downsides to it considered, the upsides like the "family" system are pretty cool and similar to gifting on steam (which also is cool).

"On average gamers are, well, average in bed. No surprises there then. However, a breakdown of gaming platforms reveals that Xbox owners have the magic touch. A whopping 54 percent of Xbox users ranked good or very good, while 22 ranked excellent."

Looks like everyone is slowly getting bored of circle jerking over PS4 now and looking at the hard facts that microdick forgot to tell us about

Nah, Im still getting a PS4, and this whole thing has left a sour taste in my mouth in regards to microsoft, though to be completely frank, I would have switched over to PS4 even if microsoft didn't say any of this stuff I don't care much for.

Main reason? I like RPG's. Generally Japanese ones, and lets face it, Sony has had the JRPG market cornered for basically the past 2 generations. Time and time again an rpg that released on 360 would get an upgraded version with extra content released onto PS3. Microsoft just doesnt have the games I want anymore.

I dont really understand how people seem to be so focused on some sort of equal rights movement with these consoles. "how dare microsoft create a product specifically aimed at a certain consumer group, if every single person on earth isnt able to use it, nobody should be able to!"
doesnt make sense to me. yeah, broadband requirement may alienate a few people, but i cant imagine theres that many people in the market for any next gen console at all who are still rockin dial up. its like someone in the u.s. getting angry at bmw because of a lack of dealerships in Niger.
and im not sold on the one yet, im still considering a ps4 because of the price difference, but the xbox hate just seems really ridiculous to me

Not every ****er in the world lives in the US mate.

I live in a country where your internet connection quality can be determined by if it's raining or not (it's actually raining right now and I'm having trouble just accessing this site, let alone youtube or the speeds needed for XBONE) Expecting everyone to have flash highspeed internet constantly is a premature idea at this point and if they are trying to force the world to step it up for that they are gonna need a bit more power than just one gaming console and certainly not by presenting it in a way that makes everyone look at it as a downside.

yeah im aware. like i said, it'll alienates some people, but australia isnt exactly a huge market for microsoft. its business, obviously they feel the benefits outweigh the loss of a small percentage of potential buyers. i find it hard to imagine though that everyone complaining has no access to a decent internet connection

I've already said it, but approximately half the United States dosnt even have broadband internet as fast as they want. Of that half, about a third probably would have bought the X1 if it didnt have some online requirement. So, sure... a sixth of our country is a small group of people.

It's also more of a 'Why are you forcing me to do something?' Sure they might already be doing it but why force it? And even though you may have an awesome internet connection can you always guarentee you will? Perhaps you go to a Family reunion (mine is usually held in a small town called Sturgis Mississippi) Nobody I know there even has internet and **** all else to do if you are not very interested in crop farming or moonshine. So at the time I made sure to bring a small TV and my playstation. Would be **** out of luck if I were to go after the X1 comes out.

Also Austrailia is actually a fairly large market for consumer electronics in the south pacific. If Microsoft doesn't get many sales there why would further shrinking that market make sense?

No business I know of goes out of it's way to make their sales options smaller. Not unless they want to be closed down in a few years. Even drug dealers whose product regularly kills off their customers are not that stupid.

You should post that again. It hasn't been posted here before or reposted on other sites numerous times.

When you make such a big move you should either:
    A) have a product that can speak for itself
    B) be able to put it in the best light possible

Both of which they haven't been able to do. Maybe they have something up their sleeves but they way they've handled their presentations and the hate storm after makes me think it's not crazy to think they might not know what they're doing.

I think they know what they're doing, just don't care. They're moving in a new direction and if you don't like stay on your 360. That's what it looks like to me. Screw Microsoft, I will stick with my 360. Thanks for the free games tho :p

I like RPG's too, just curious, what are the RPG's you are talking about? The ones I know right now are KH3, FFXV, The Witcher and Elder Scrolls Online. (On consoles) Don't know yet if I can call Destiny a RPG.

What sad moron actually makes a picture like that? How passionately must you feel? I do feel quite sorry for whoever made that.

Hating on the XB1 really is a popular thing at the moment. If the exclusive titles were the other way around, people who further be yelling hail sony...
PS4 will still probably have DRM on most of the AAA games, as that is an option for devs. If microsoft said that, then hail mary the world will be destroyed.

Simply put, the internet is a stupid place ruledby the stupidest of them all; IGN. Polls mean nothing. "opinions" mean nothing. Just get the more fun console. XB1 does more for entertainment for me.
