Storage A facility built on an asteroid used to store essential items suited for space traveling. Overview Storage is a small, asymmetrical map located in the crater of the asteroid on impact. The different levels on Storage has open high points with covered low points. It works well with 2v2 and 3v3 gametypes and works best with 4 to 6 player free for all gametypes. It is a great map for players who enjoy a run and gun, chaotic gameplay style. No comments really? Well let's change that. First POV. Going just from the pictures I have to say I am impressed. The way you fit in the larger pieces is done fairly well, the layout is solid and it flows well, And there is lots of height variation which i do so love. Now going from a quick Solo custom/forge walk through, I could only notice 2 Minor areas. To make it easier i corcled the spots on your Top-Down picture so you can see whilst i explain. Now the bottom circle is just the general area of my first. . .well point. The stairs to your base 2 story are rather steep. And as i normally prefer Nothing like 2x2steeps this is a no-no for me.(It's more a personal quirk not trying to be a ****.) I find it slows down sprinting for e.x(Again that might just be me) Second Circle is technically outside of the map however, With jet-pack(providing there is no custom game type) If you can manage to get on the back side of that platform you can hide from 85% of viewing areas. The only places I noticed that could potentially see you from there was Straight across to top hallway. That being said it would be an easy fix. Two options: First try lowering the bottom of the trait zone by 0.1 Degrees and see if you can still make it. Second raise the platform 0.1 degrees rendering the same effect. Other than that those two spots are good and i enjoyed both games i played on it. Hope that all made sense and helped.
Thanks for the feedback! I can't believe I didn't notice the part that's outside the map. I've updated this error and made a slight change to the stairs on top of the building that provides a little extra space. I'm not sure I could do much with the rest of the 2x2 stairs that you were referring to without doing a lot of editing, but I may get around to it eventually. Oh about the normal 2x2 stairs, they are fine i ment to say 2x2 Steep's. As for the little spot out of bounds that can happen to anyone, just glad we caught it fast
Ah, I see what you mean now, sorry for misunderstanding. I can see where its a little bumpy coming down and might become an issue. I'll play around with it and see if I can come up with something else. EDIT: I've update the steep stairs on the building by placing normal 2x2 steps over them which seems to work out nicely.
I agree with this. And I know for a fact that many others would too. 2x2 steeps shouldn't really be used as an incline because they're just too steep and it feels very awkward walking up them. The only time I ever use them is for walling and flooring.
Oh Zanny He didn't actually use 2x2 Steeps its just the 2 story base from impact has really steep stairs is all. On another note i played more customs on here and it plays so nicely. Every game had clutch moments where ever one was standing and shouting XD. Good map sir.
