Deluge Created by PinkiePinkiePie Weapons 1x Rocket Launcher (120s) 2x Boltshot 1x Light Rifle 1x Carbine 2x DMR 2x Battle Rifle Deluge is a small/mid-sized 2v2 map. I built it primarily for Slayer, but it's also set up for King of the Hill and Capture the Flag. Its doesn't have too much verticality, but there are quite a few tactical jumps. Spoilers within spoilers are the worst. Ya gotta change that, man. I clicked on 2 spoilers, then quit cause I realized there was like 10 more and AINT NOBODY GOT TIME FOR DAT. IF you spoiler your images, ONE spoiler for all of them. Don't make me work to look at images of your map.
I agree with Lightsout. Many people would give up on finishing reading your map post once they see all dem spoilers. Limit your spoilers to one or two and leave it at that.
Map looks alright, but those upper lofts (red and blue) seem pretty campable. Only two ways up (that are obvious in the screens), with one being a jump and the other and the other being (what appears to be) a bottlenecked corner doesn't seem like it'll be good for gameplay. I'll download and run through it before I'm sure, but I don't see any reason (aside from the rocket spawn) to not just sit up in the loft all game, especially if it's 3v3.
You can jump into either of the openings from the middle platform, but maybe they are too campable. I think I should test it some more and then see if that part needs to change.
Well, I got thinking about it for a second and as long as a team is working together, maybe it's not too campable. There's a pretty decent sightline into it from the orange/cyan ramps and from the center structure, so maybe it wouldn't be too much of a problem. Then again, there's also no reason to not go up there given the fact that none of the other areas offer much for cover... I'd be willing to test it with you at some point if you'd like.
I couldnt really come up with any good incentive to go down there (excluding KotH), so I put the Boltshots and DMRs down there. I considered using a Railgun and Sticky on the bottom levels instead of a Rocket Launcher, to encourage more movement, but I wanted the weapon sets to be symetrical, and the map seemed small for two power weapons.
