I have recorded the episode of last Saturday (So, the crimson horror) and I will be watching that tommorow I suppose. But I missed the episode before that, called.. "A travel to the center of the TARDIS".. Probally not, but something like it. Has anyone here watched it, was it good? I really wanted to watch that one.. but I was on vacation.

It was only OK. It started to have some good Clara-storyline progression, but they she has it all wiped from her memory basically, so its essentially a stand-still there. Then there's this really incoherent side-story about three brothers.. two of which convince the third and youngest, that he's an android...which has so many plot holes its stupid. But then he finds out he's really just a cyborg! But they have their memories wiped too, except that they remember to love each other again AWWWWWWWWW!!!!

It was pretty convoluted and riddled with plot holes, and at times just flat out didn't make any sense. Especially the burn-victim zombies.

And if you were to guess this was all do to a rupture in time, you'd be pretty spot on. Because OBVIOUSLY it's all due to a rupture in time.

The Crimson Horror was better. It has Diana Rigg guest starring, who, if you watch Game of Thrones, you'll recognize and love.

I agree, Crimson Horror was much better. The next episode looks like it should be good too.

I found it to be one of the better episodes from the series, if you can look past the plot holes and watch it without trying to over think any of it you'll probably find it enjoyable-- there's none of that sappy **** that's been in the rest of series 7.

I should at least watch it I guess. I'm going to watch it before I watch the Crimson Horror then.

It really is tremendously good, especially if you've watched the last series as well.

I am so ****ing confused by the end of that episode. Good episode, but kinda wish they stretched some of the good parts of it across the season instead of clumping pretty much the only interesting things into one episode, barring the doctor trying to find out who clara is, there isnt a whole lot of plot continuity between the other episodes.

It'll all make more sense when the 50th Anniversary episode airs in November, but the actor you saw at the end, John Hurt, has kinda dropped a bomb as to WHO he is. Spoilers within-
John Hurt said he is playing the REAL 9th Doctor. Chris Eccelston, who played 9 in the 2005 season, declined to participate in the Anniversary Special. So John Hurt was written in instead. He plays a Doctor regeneration that the Doctor has actually forgotten about (whether intentionally or not is unknown). So Hurt is 9, Eccleston is now 10, Tennant is 11, and Matt Smith is now the 12th. Since the Doctor can only regenerate 12 times (12 hours on a clock), he will realize his time is running out.

Side note: John Hurt is a BOSS. He's academy award nominated (twice) and has been acting for over 50 years.

    lol ears.

I am still unsure as to the whole Clara thing in all the different companions clothes.

Also Lights, are you 100% on that or is it jsut speculation. I though maybe he was a future doctor

Unless John Hurt was straight up lying in an interview, yes, I am sure. It's definitely not speculation.

As for Clara, it was made pretty clear in the episode. The Great Intelligence leads the Doctor to Trenzalore, the place of his tomb, so he can use the Doctor's greatest secret, his name, to open his tomb and access the rupture in time the Doctor has left behind from all his travels. River Song opens the tomb, and then GI enters the rupture so he can thwart the Doctor throughout time, undoing all the good he'd done.

To save the Doctor, Clara also enters the rupture, following GI throughout time in order to save the Doctor repeatedly.

So you mean to say that the doctor can only regen 12 times, that would make matt smith the final doctor. I don't like that idea. As much as I defend him as a doctor incarnation, I dont want him being the last one. I would rather him regen one last time, and have it as John Hurt who then acts differently since he knows full well that he will die sometime as that incarnation.

I dunno, I just dont think it would end well with matt being last, john would be much better for a final doctor.

Edit: I just realized that all this hinges on the first doctor being the first regen, and not his original form. If it wss his original, then all this is mute.
