If it's Halo 5: I won't be buying it. They cannot push games out that quickly of good quality. If it's Halo 2 Anniversary: They're a year early. Hopefully, it's a bridge game, like ODST and just a branch off of Halo 4. That I might pick up. Seeing as how it's a beta... It's probably Halo 5. In which case, goodbye Halo and hello PC gaming.
Edit: Ironclad, it says it's a Strategy game... Possibility of Halo Wars 2?
Edit 2: I just looked up "Ironclad Strategy game" ironclad is a strategy game developer that hasn't released a game since 2008 (as far as I can tell from Wikipedia). bsangel might be Beta-ing a game for them. Of course this is all theory, but it's certainly interesting.

It's impossible that that's Halo 5. And as far as I know, Halo 5 and Halo 6 will not be coming to the Xbox 360. Of course, this is all speculation. Nothing is final.

Halo 5 will be on xbox 360 to milk one more game out of the series.

Is Halo 2 anniversary really a thing? Whats next Halo 3 anniversary then Halo Reach anniversary?

Nah, I could see H2 anniv but that's as far as it would go. H2 wasn't released on 360 so there's a reason for it, ya know?

H2 isn't released on 360 but the 360 is at the end of its lifespan, so no I don't see the reason for it, By that standard Halo 3 and Halo Reach haven't been released on 720 which is where there anniversary versions would have to be released on because by time Halo 5,Halo 2 anniversary,Halo 6 is made 360 wont be getting the new titles.

I don't think it's Halo 5 and I'm hoping it isn't Halo 2 Anniversary. I'm gonna go ahead and say that it could possibly be a next-gen launch title for the Nextbox and some 343i peeps are assisting with beta testing.

makes sense, but I wouldn't think H3 or Reach would get anniversary games but I could see H2 getting one. I haven't looked it up or researched it or anything though. Id love a H2 remake for the 360 cuz Im not sure I plan to get the "nextbox".

How do you know it's coming to the 360? Did 343 confirm this?

I think the H2 anniversary would happen. I don't know about the rest though since they've already been on the 360.

True, but Halo 2 is the only one that isn't theortically playable right now. Assuming the Nextbox is backwards compatible, we'll be able to play all the other games on it, but not Halo 2. This'd give a reason for an H2A.

I'd love to see what H2 would play like if was completely polished. If it is a H2:A game, most, if not all, the code would've had to have been rewritten from the ground up. That means no more BXR and other nonsense. So the question is, would people still like the game if everything that was broken about it was actually fixed?

So long as it feels like Halo 2 and not Halo 4, I can safely say I'll love it. They do need to fix the glitches (although I'll miss the superbounces) but they shouldn't rewrite how the movement works. It should feel, look and play like Halo 2, just without the broken items and glitches. If they can pull that off, very few people can complain. The main complaints will be lack of Halo 2 glitches, but so long as the campaign still has them all and Multiplayer is without them (assuming there is a multiplayer) then I think it'll be alright.

Or it is something COMPLETELY different.

You know, seeing as BS Angel has a devkit xbox, so it might be a beta of a new launcher? And frankly, we all know for an absolute fact that 343 are making another halo game, so how is this relevant to anything. Maybe it's a prototype for a tech demo? Who cares?

All we know from this, is that 343 industries has a game they are developing.

    meh.

An install base of 70 million consoles says otherwise. No console is out until the next one has been well established.

Agreed. My biggest gripe about Halo Anniversary was that it used Reach's multiplayer instead of enabling an online version of the original.

343 Industries is not only Microsoft's biggest 1st Party team, they're practically Microsoft's only 1st Party team. To think that Microsoft will release its new console this year and not have these guys currently developing a game for it is ludicrous. I have no idea what beta they've been playing (it may not even be their baby, just something they are helping test internally) but I think it's safe to say that they are indeed working on a next-gen Halo game.

Halo 2 + updated graphics only + forge (of course), now that would be a great game. 343 needs to understand the concept of "if it's not broken don't fix it" halo 2 was great because of its fundamental game mechanics, change that and it would ruin the game kinda like halo ce anniversary, great campaign because they didn't mess with the mechanics but it was disappointing to play on the reach servers. Now it would make sense to include already released patches that were with the game before Microsoft made the horrible decision to shut original games offline.
