You know, I just realized I had not placed this in the Main file, and to correct this problem right now, I present Caustic 2.0. As the title suggests, this is a remake, but I like to think of it as a re-tooling of a favorite map of mine and of many. Supporting variants of Slayer, SWAT, Regicide, Oddball and KotH. Please give it a download and enjoy!

It looks like you've done a really good job recreating one of the Halo Greats! I haven't downloaded the map, so I can't give a detailed opinion of the overall accuracy, however, from the pictures you've posted it seems pretty nicely forged. My only complaint is the pallet itself...I'm not a fan of Erosion due to the non-attractive "Brown" tones that you can't escape. But other than that, good work!

Yes, I think this to be a correct statement. There is not a Hell of a lot you can make with the Erosion pallet, maybe some great Flood maps, but little else because of the color scheme. However, remaking this map on Erosion gave it a different look, and an "old and tired" feel since the rusty colored pieces make it look old and tired.

Thank you too, for the compliments on the map! It has gone through a few revisions and the final draft is based mosty on the suggestions of ForgeHub members, such as yourself! So please download it and have a blast!

Wow, this looks like a really nice remake. I especially enjoy that bit in the third picture, very nicely forged that is.

    Queueing this for download.

Thanks for downloading it Tony, it has been on here for a while now, I just forgot to post it in the Standard Maps Section and let me know if it was what you expected of not?

I gave this a download, and I like it a lot! It seems pretty accurate to the original, despite a few changes you made to make it your own. There is nothing wrong with that, however, I would love to see another variant of this being as true to Halo 2's Ascension as possible.

One issue I found with the map is that you did not apply any soft-kill zones, hard-kill zones, or a soft/hard safe zone. Those should be essential to finishing any map you make. As it is, I was able to escape the map to pretty-much wherever I wanted. Be sure to add those, and you'll have one nice map here.

Another small issue. Your Sender and Receiver Teleporters are positioned 90 degrees backwards. Rotate those around and they will function a bit better.

Anyway, the map feels and looks great. I recommended it to my friends as well. Good work, and good luck!

Ok, Thanks for the feedback Randy, I did not realize that they were'nt there any more or were'nt working,I will get those fixed as soon as I am back on XBL and update the map in my fileshare. What other variant would you like to see on this particular map?

Ok, I have gone back and added soft and hard kill zones in the areas I think that they are needed. Being that it is a floating map by definition, I'm not sure how many times you might have to use them. And, I checked the rotation of the teleporters, and they were set right to begin with, not sure how you were able to come out backwards, but they are good now. Thanks again for the positive feedback Randy.
