I have been trying to make a flood map that truly gives you a feeling of dread on forge island and i wanted some tips as i am unable to get to my xbox for a while because its disk drive is not working so i figure while i wait i might get some help from you guys.
never played it but im guessing its dark themed, so test with multiple fx's and also erm make it like a ruined city? sorry ive never played it and i saw no comments on here so i thought id try and be helpfull but im not really.... :/ sorry
Do you know about the glitch that lets you access the insides of the islands? There's tutorials all over YouTube. The basic idea is to place a teleporter deep into the island, and then a connecting one above ground, which you fly into and should teleport you into one of the islands. Inside is a particularly misty area, made traversable by placing a grid under the water (the water is opaque, so you won't see the grid). The surrounding rocks are all very dark, and the map can be enclosed by making a roof. After that, combining Colorblind and Juicy usually produces a higher contrast perspective, making the dark much darker. Well, at least on Impact it does, I tested it out on Forge Island and it didn't have as extreme an effect, but perhaps it is different inside the islands. The key to making dark areas though, is to make high contrast environments. Ever play splitscreen and when one player looks up at the bright sky, everyone else's screen becomes much darker? The same principle applies -- add in some stark light sources and the contrast will make an area seem even darker. Hope you found some of that useful.
yes that was very useful i think the map will be a giant taco. just kidding it will be a swamp with those round bunkers put on top of each other to make a tower i will post when it is finished but can any one tell me how to put the pics up on here
sure, odviously take some pic in-game, go on waypoint web, go on ur recent pics in the fileshare section, right click, save em, put em on ur desktop or sommin, make an account on photo bucket, drag and drop the pic into the box once youve gone on upload, let them upload to photo bucket, then go on the picture, click on the IMG code, it should auto copy it if not then simply copy it, go on here, make a new thread, paste the code onto here but dont inturupt the code dont edit it in anyway then go on post thread once ur done doing anything to it and done once youve done it a couple of time you can make a whole new thread with pics and nicely layed out in like 10 minutes hope this helps
