John had to take his armour off.. Because the Librarian did something to him, It protected him. And that,s why he isn't there on SpOps, or anywhere to help. He is being examined. And one more thing, to say it in a simple way.. The Didact was, supposed to be, immune to the composer. And maybe he is, but I don't really know what the Didact is capable off.

True that if John reveals he has been evolved to the point where the composer doesn't work then tech's and scientiests need to scan him and find out how he is different, as well as the fact his armor is broke as hell and he needs new stuff.

    Halo 5 vehicles + weapons

I feel like the vehicles are all under powered, now a tank can be destroyed by one mn, plus they are very limited, the mantis in halo 4 was the only new vehicle, whoopdy doo. They need transport, or UNSC vehicles. They need the hornet, or pelican, or the falcon. A forrunner vehicle wood be good. Or maybe a elephant, scarab or mammoth. The pvp count should be bigger, like 15vs15. think about it, if their can be like 40-60 AI's, why cant thier be bigger fights. Now take all this and put in forge. P.S. snowy forge maps needed.

I disagree about PvP count. AI's aren't a suitable comparison, since they don't introduce lag. Connecting to like 30 other players isn't easy. Tbh I don't think Halo is particularly suited to combat of that scale anyway, and I think it'd end up just being even harder to balance. It's an arena shooter with many large game elements, not Battlefield.

Frank O’Connor, the franchise development director for Halo, said that “a lot of people at 343 are already prototyping ideas and software and art for future Halo products”.
He added: “I can’t say more than that, but work on the game started actually before we launched Halo 4 and continues apace as we cycle staff through the team’s vacation breaks. We’re excited about the next game.”
O’Connor didn’t explicitly state that the next game is specifically Halo 5, though Microsoft has already confirmed that it is building a second trilogy of Halo titles.

"343 will do better next time" - Frank O'Connor, franchise director for Halo - The Reclaimer Trilogy. Frank stated in an interview about Halo 4 that there was a lot the studio as a whole had learned from the experience of creating such a thrilling and diverse game such as Halo 4, but said that Halo 5 is something they are all definitely looking forward to meeting the expectations of come release of the supposedly, but most likely "next-gen" title. O'Connor stated that "Halo 5 will still be a darker game in comparison to the previous titles in the saga.

    • The logo of Halo 5 was supposedly leaked.
    • 343 Industries stated that Halo 5 will be a "darker title" in the Reclaimer trilogy.
    • 343 Industries has also stated that they will be more creative in this next game.
    • 343 Industries has hinted that production on Halo 5 has begun.

during a microsoft reveal of a feature, halo 5's logo was leaked.

Yeah, I feel like a step back was taken from Reach. There was no Covenant Warthog equivalent, and more importantly, no UNSC Banshee equivalent. The game also felt, almost prejudiced towards anything but UNSC, ei UNSC had many more weapons, most of which are better, Covenant/Storm felt much weaker, no MP Elites. I think these are some things that need to be added for Halo 5. Dual Wielding, I'd like to see as an optional feature under Weapon settings, so matchmaking could have no DWing, but custom games could allow it. Finally, I think Cortana needs to stay dead. It would be infuriating if Cortana was brought back, because they would be making a major plot point of Halo 4 obsolete, as well as it's ending. It would just become a quickly resolved shallow WTF ending. I'm glad they did it in the first place, it pains me to say, because it would've been a cheap Deus ex Machina to save her at the very ending, and it's one of the few things I've been impressed with 343 doing, they had the balls to kill off a major character. That being said, I wouldn't mind seeing Cortana return, maybe at the end of the last game would be fitting. I could see the next game being about the Storm trying to access some Promethean/Forerunner army/weaponry kind of like in Halo Wars, and maybe the UNSC trying to stop them and get Halsey back. But I think we need to see the Storm more explored and developed like Halo 2 did, into a Brotherhood of Steel type enemy.

What at the end of the game suggests she's dead?

Well, call me crazy, but maybe her saying "I'm not coming back this time", or the fact that she went rampant and fragmented. I mean it doesn't straight up say "I'm Dead," but it's still so strongly implied it would feel cheap to bring her right back.

My memory may be a bit fuzzy, but isn't she integrated into the forerunner network at the end? And by not coming back she means not coming back with him but instead staying where she was?

She wasn't exactly integrated with the Forerunner network aboard the Didact's ship, she was just plugged into it. Either way, the ship kinda blew up.

He only hope was through the Librarian's imprint on Requiem, which obviously isn't happening either.

I thought she teleported MC to a safe location to escape the exploding planet, but this is just the justification I came up with for what I didn't at all understand. Tell me again how they are such great storytellers.

The story wasn't as confusing as this sentence isn't. Specially for new comers to the Halo universe.

Because it was so confusing and badly told and inconclusive you can give viable completely reasonable arguments for Cortana coming back just as you can for Cortana not coming back. (Same for other aspects of the story) What actually happens in Halo 5 is completely up to 343i's whim.

We don't know exactly what happened and how Cortana saved Chief, but from what we can gather she teleported Chief inside a hardlight barrier she made using the hardlight bridge they were standing on. This all happened in under a second, between when Chief activated the nuke nad before it actually went off, as a second is much longer for an AI.

    Halo 5 Story:

Since when did Cortana have the ability to manipulate Hard Light technology to such a degree?

You could say the research of Halsey and Phillips, and the rest of ONI, could have something to do with it but it seems like a stretch since the lore depicts humans as only having scratched the surface of Forerunner tech. Most of that is due to the acquisition of Huragok re purposing everything in sight. That's where Infinity's advancements came from. I don't think it's realistic for humans to reverse engineer all of the Huragok knowledge or Forerunner technology to give Cortana such tools after Infinity was made. On top of that, Cortana should've be engaging in cyber warfare in this final battle with the Didact's very own Ancilla as all Forerunner armor is equipped with one and they are arguably a "smarter" AI, they would at least have home court advantage.

I think that in itself says something interesting is going on behind the curtains and that it would feel cheap to be explained with, she's just dead now. Maybe I'm missing something but I'm a Halo nerd. Perhaps I'm overly optimistic for dear Cortana but this universe is fiction isn't it? What would Halo with Master Chief even be like without her, that's like Link not having Navi with him, oh wait.

Rampancy isn't a life expectancy it's just when the AI goes all HAL 9000. All I'm saying is, Cortana is all satisfied looking while she's touching John's armor, and Forerunner's...

    Halo 5 Multiplayer:

I've been waiting for larger scale multiplayer since the original game came out. Being capable of hosting a game of 30 vs 30 or more doesn't have to take away from the arena style gameplay that Halo has always had around.

343 as a company is more interested in making money than pleasing fans, what better way to do that than to fill the shoes that BF4 is failing to fill with yet another modern warfare game: massive sci-fi battlefield. I bet they would pull in a lot more revenue with that than if they solely cater to arena battles. That seems like a bad idea for Halo. Besides, CoD is already doing that very successfully.

Halo needs to continue having a wide selection of options. Halo 4 failed to hit this mark: Less custom game options, vehicles are very hard to use effectively (if that's what you even call effective), a sandbox where many good things have been removed, Forge 2.1, no firefight. These are things I can think of immediately.

16vs16 at 30 FPS seems like hardware limitations, Halo 4 still had graphical lag when it was released. So why is larger multiplayer so farfetch'd? This game has gone so far from what made it great for me in Halo: CE and Halo 2. I don't even know what the **** is up with it anymore other than it makes my friends rage more than Reach did within half an hour. I still get a great score, I still enjoy competitive multiplayer in it, but there's a reason why BF3 is in my xbox WAY more often. Because vehicles do their job.

And I have to say this. Camo, plasma pistol, 2x plasma nades... WTF? The things I didn't even mention.
