I agree. But there must be someway there can be made a good one, like I said above. I hope someone will try his best. Kazerra, I hope yours is good!
i had this with the first map pack, after spending hours in live support and posting in rubbish threads at waypoint begging for help the only way it worked was wiping my harddrive and starting again.....a horrible thought for many but my console was quite new so i didnt mind
Forgive my ignorance but what exactly is a "Slender" map? I really can't say how much I am loving the rocks and trees... you can really make maps that have a classic Halo feel. It reminds me of a Halo: Combat Evolved style.
It's a map made for the community made Slender infection variant. If you haven't seen or played the Variant, you should.
I would rather see neither. I would rather see some unique creations instead of countless iterations of the same thing.
Just an idea I just had haven't tried this yet but if you lay a tree flat and phase it into the ground it could make a nice grassy/scrub brush effect.
I played an infection map last night that did that and it looked really good. Here's a video of the map,
hey has anyone noticed that this update has changed any lighting on other forge locations? i have a map brewing on impact where some pieces are all lit up and funky and there's more of an Erosion poop-like effect going on (on impact). Hopefully this update didn't screw up existing maps at all... but I do have to express my excitement about rocks and trees. also love the extremely large buildable area and less restrictive boundaries. in the spirit of contributing ideas... I played around briefly with the idea of using the tree 3 as a way to build a log cabin. by skillfully covering up the green parts, I tihnk it can be done. oh, and I would like to announce my intention of making a larger version of STONE HENGE that is more suitable for 4v4 or bigger whereas my existing one is a 2v2/1v1.
It wasn't an update, though. Nothing should have changed. I know that some lighting was already screwy, perhaps you're just now noticing that?
actually, nevermind. I took another look and it turns out I broke the lighting on this impact map. not the kind of broken lighting where it ceases to do the 'generating lighting" bit, but where certain objects are excluded or not done correctly. some rockes were disappearing from far away as well... my mistake.
good idea man, I actually was going to suggest that to ya because I thought of the same thing when looking at the rocks and how they were shaped more "flat".
