The Spartan Laser is probally my favorite UNSC-Weapon though. I wouldn't have the creativity to build a forest with the pieces right now, at least not a good looking one. But Audience is right, we should not get our hopes up, thinking that a air vehicle would return is getting your hopes up sky high. We should indeed hope for some cool, new looking pieces (Like the Jumbo-Coliseum wall, that they promised before) and maybe some new scenery. Re-textured blocks, and some fixed lighting issues. That is what I hope for
Nice adjective use there, Peter! But yeah, I don't think the Falcon will return for Halo 4. They'll likely bring it back for Halo 5 - if they don't I'll be pissed.
I won't be pissed if they don't bring the falcon back, It had a really good run in reach and it really made that game feel like a prequel to me. There's just so much room to improve the human flying vehicles, for instance a small four person dropship would be epic, I mean a vehicle like the mongoose of the skies, and it looks like there are rumors of a UNSC counter banshee. I hope they bring some new vehicles in for forge island, but personally it's going to be awesome either way.
I noticed that also. One of the key components to any map is flooring, and they haven't created one yet. That was why I was not expecting anything, not even trees... I doubt that there is anything really unique or custom for this canvas, but we will see...
The Spartan Laser was always my favorite weapon, until Halo 4. With a lack of better words: They ****ed it up. Seriously, I was beast with that weapon. I never missed a shot, at any distance. But now we have the Railgun, which is pretty cool too, though not as awesome as the Spartan Laser always used to be. It wouldn't really make sense to put in a completely new vehicle like that. We've never seen such a vehicle before so why create it all out of the sudden. Besides, the reason I like the Falcon and to a lesser degree the Hornet is because they are different than the Banshee, just like any other comparison between similar looking or functioning UNSC and Covenant vehicles.
Tbh I think Reach messed it up plenty, let alone Halo 4. I saw no reason to either increase charge time or reduce it to 4 shots rather than 5. I don't think it was OP at all in Halo 3, imo it was basically the perfect vehicle counter. Still mystified as to why they messed with it. I'd definitely say that Reach did the most damage to it, and halo 4 just continued in the same vein, making it even worse. Halo 3 Splazer 4 life.
Quoted for truth. It was still maintainable in Reach, but like you said, it got even worse in 4. But the Sniper Rifle went the same way, although it got buffed instead of nerfed. Which also sucks, since that was my second favorite weapon.
I wonder if it will come with its own objects similar to the ones specific to ravine, impact, and erosion. Hopefully they will be objects that will help add terrain so that everything isn't rocks.
Agreed. H3 Sniper > Reach Sniper > H4 Sniper H3 Laser > Reach Laser > H4 Laser Things always going downhill. I sound like a proper MLG kid. And I don't even care.
I'm most interested to see what pieces have been added to the pallet! I've been saying since Halo 3 that 343 (Bungie back then) should update forge with new pieces for the community to use post release! It would be a great way of keeping the forging community motivated and inspired to try out new ideas while at the same time extending the longevity of the life-span of their game overall! It's a simple concept, and one that in my opinion would go a long way toward keeping Halo on top!
Double Agreed . Still, I find the laser super awesome.. We all are just as excited. I agree with this all, this should keep the community motivated, of course!
Forge island, where even the brown pieces are blinding white. Really though. I'm looking forward to this. I'm cusious to the "new items" They say that, though I'm not expecting anything new. Hopefully, if we do, we get that giant 10x Colosseum wall they talked about before releasing the game.
I've heard, from a semi-reliable source, that we'll be able to build on the water, but not have very much wiggle room under the surface; or at least not as much as Reach. I was told it was Duccain23, I think, who was talking with someone over there about it. Don't hold me to it, though!
Hushed will be permabanned if we can't forge in the water to a depth of 1.5 world units. Hushed, you BETTA HOPE YOU RIGHT, DAWG.
Ooohh.. Poor Hushed. But! You are right! Here is Ducain23's video, and then you have to read his comment. I just believe Ducain23, he talked to 343. We can't forge in the water though, but they MIGHT change that, MIGHT. Oh and Nutty, that explains if we can forge in the water.
From the new Bulletin 3.28.13 To what extent can we use the water to build on Forge Island? Is the kill boundary set in a way that we can place objects and play underwater? –HappyHog You can build along the surface of the water but you will die if the water level reaches above the waist of the Spartan. There were limitations on what we were able to do with water, based on many different factors, including the size of the level. The water is opaque, so while you can place objects below the surface, you won’t be able to see them unless they are poking out –Kynan Also trees are confirmed. The Halo Bulletin: 3.28.13
