Mexican Torta and aDamnCivilian... Stay out of this thread please Last Stand at Longbow: Episode 1 Created by: PA1NTS Gametype: Malfunction Player Count: 10-16 Players Episode 1 is the first map in a series of flood maps built on Longbow. Bunkered down in a UNSC base, you must work together to hold off the endless horde of flood for 4 minutes. Flood move slow but are super strong. Call in weapons, earn armor abilities, earn points. Episode 2 is already built and in testing. All of the maps will be released in a pack when complete. More Pictures:
A linear map is already hard to do in Halo 4, but the fact you did it on Longbow is impressive. I like these kinds of maps because it shows that you have some potential on all the maps, even the non-forge friendly ones. I'll be sure to check this out when its finished.
This was the favourite of the two that I played. It is insanely well balanced, which is a first for **** Zombies style maps. This is honestly the only good one I have played and I like how the map is pretty small too, it works really well. Such a simple idea pulled off really well. I look forward to playing it again!
It's not a linear map. I messed around with the idea of making it all a continuous campaign but separate holdout maps were better. It's technically a mix of free roam and **** zombies. There's no doors that open, no goals, no safe zone. Just fight to the death. I think episode 1 plays better sometimes because you don't have a roof to worry about. In episode 2 players can't seem to muster up the teamwork to cover both the roof and downstairs. Maybe because people don't realize it's usable. That being said there was some epic rounds on episode 2 lately, where the last two humans had really good weapons and they barely made it to the 4 minute mark.
What? Myyy idea, paints? and the others on Longbow and Exile? I did enjoy this map though, it was really atmospheric and played well with the slow zombie style.
First two episodes are longbow. Third one I'm making is on complex. Exile looks like it could work. So does landfall but I don't have landfall.
Dude, this is a really sick idea. I love the atmosphere of Longbow and I LOVE free-roam (whatever this is in Halo 4 it sounds like I love it). I'm accepting invites for testing on something like this if you need anyone. You should use my Flood gametype that removes Lime Green and defaults spartans to your selected colors... I didn't change anything else in the gametype. EDIT: These screenshots look "different" for some reason. Well, I'm not seeing any Flood particle effect or whatever it is coming off their bodies usually... and something else about it all looks different but I can't put my finger on it.
Kind of. It's just that Paints doesn't have Landfall, and it'd be a shame to have the opportunity go to waste.
I see, yeah the map is perfectly suited to this kind of map. Send me an invite whenever you are testing. Same goes for you're's, Paints.
Besides the version of Flood I made with removed lime green human color, right now I am trying to make another version that disables the ordnance HUD icons (white weapon icons) for ordnance drops. If that will make the Last Stands better? Unless you like the icons to tell you where the weapons are easier. I just don't like how they clutter the screen. But I'll keep a version with them and without...but both versions will have the lime green removed.
