Well here's my newest map, Condemned. No not the map from Reach. Inspired by the whole halo 3 glassing of new mombasa and the fear of the flood. It is still a work in progress. Well enough of my yapping here's the pics tell me what ya' think. Note: Im still looking for testers for this map. If you like to help, please say so.
Okay, cool. The map is very open in the centre. There needs to be a lot more cover than some crates because the sight lines stretch nearly across the whole map. It would be a good idea to add some walls that can not be traversed over. It will give the map a lot more shape and will balance out the gameplay. Basically, add some high walls made up of the same or similar pieces you have already used, or anything else that you think will fit well with the style of forging. It already looks awesome, and so cleanly forged. I would love to either help you test or help you with beefing up the middle.
This map caught my eye. It reminds me of a Bungie map, not any specific one, just their style of maps. Realistic looking, simple aesthetics. It's not cluttered either. Most of what I've been seeing on the forums are what I like to call Maze maps. These are box shaped maps full of white ramps and white platforms, they just have nothing memorable about them and there is no unifying theme or focal point. They usually look really confusing from above because there's just too many 4x4s and ramps. This map though, layout is easily understandable. Buildings are distinguishable and usable. I particularly like that bridge that extends outwards. Reminds me of an oil rig. Great map.
I know what you mean. That is what I hate about some of the Certain Affinity maps, or whoever is making them. I love the Monolith map and Skyline both... but damn there is always something in my face!!! Even their bigger maps like Tempest (from Reach) and Meltdown... I feel so claustrophobic. It's what I miss most about Bungie... their maps. This map does look nice and clean. Nice work TMR Legend.
Looks really nice and unique! I'm not a fan of the Erosion pallete, but I like the style here. Even though I love warthog maps, I'm afraid it has too little room here..
