H2 Lashout Formerly known as FTG Lockout, a remake of Halo 2's Lockout originally remade into Halo Reach. This map focuses on recreating everything that Halo 2 fans love about the original Lockout when it comes to gameplay, line-of-sight, and trick jumps. Storm rifles replace the original Plasma Rifle spawns, an Assault Rifle replaces the SMG spawn, and a Carbine replaces one of the needler spawns. A secondary version has been added that mimicks the No Duals weapon layout which was used for MLG gameplay. Weapon respawns are not exact to the original but are balanced for a proper experience. 3 Team specific neutral respawn areas are located at 4 different parts of the map as well as a weak team specific neutral respawn area which is located bottom mid. All respawn points were mimicked from the original using a copy of Halo 2 on another Xbox as well as by myself watching gameplays on youtube. Recent changes have been made to most of the columns ledges and sniper tower in order to provide a better and closer gameplay experience to the original. 110% Speed, No sprint and No Instant Respawn settings are recommended but this map also supports regular Halo 4 settings. Nice looking remake. Looks like Halo 2 to me. I actually like the whole gray feeling theme. It keeps the map more faithful to the original. Shutout to me looks like a rainbow, not lockout. Lockout was grim and eerie, you've achieved that. Two questions: What's the point of the wall coliseum sticking out like a sore thumb in the first picture? Also, I can't tell exactly from the pictures but did you remove the LOS from the BR tower all the way down to below Sniper tower? I hate that LOS. It was never there in Halo 2.
the first thing that sticks out to me is that it doesn't look like a damn playground with all the colors like shutout. Looks really nice and meticulously put together.
In the original lockout, you could bounce a grenade from the ceiling and have it land on top of BR tower. That's why that coliseum wall is there. What do you mean by LOS? Line-of-sight? The line-of-sight from BR1 to Snipe1 is very accurate to the original Lockout. This is not an edit of Shutout.
This is prob the best lockout remake out there right now... Although there are somethings with the aesthetics that I don't really agree with, you stuck to whats more important build scale and accurate gameplay.
