There's been one every year since 2, so I'm not really surprised.
I only played 1 and 2, but I did not own 2 or the DLC. Bought the Anthology pack (all games + DLC) last week, found out about the leaked poster a few hours later. Replaying 1 now, great fun!

And also.. Pirates! Should be awesome.

I had originally clicked the video on xbl and thought it was an expansion pack for AC3 only to realize that it wasn't. Looks cool.

I thought it was an expansion too when it was first leaked. Not sure how I feel about this one after how big of a disappointment AC3 turned out to be. Although it would be nice to play as Haytham's Father as he was easily the greatest thing about the most recent title.

Ironically, the best Assassins Creed I have played was AC3, followed by Brotherhood. I think the story was a little spaced out during Ac3 though with all the missions. Brotherhood proberly had the best story, so I really enjoyed it. Don't ask about Revlations though, that was a bit disappointing.

Either way, looking forward to ACIV, Edward is proberly the most awesome looking assassin in the series so far to the look of it.

agreed that he's probably gonna be the most bad ass one yet, but I'm a little disappointed with the theme. I practically felt like a pirate already with all of the sea voyages in AC3, the treasure hunt series, etc. I was really hoping for a Feudal Japan one. Being a ninja assassin would've been perfect.

Too be honest, I really enjoyed the sea aspect of AC3. I can see were they got the idea for it and by god, I thought AC3 would not work, because of some of it being in the wilderness. They are slowly taking away what I feel comfortable scaling....... buildings.

Aww. I really loved Revelations. I agree that it was confusing at most times to navigate Constantinople, but I LOVED the bomb crafting.
You do realize that they are still adding cities in the game, right? Havana, Kingston, and Nassau. An AC game without building-scaling just wouldn't be an AC game. That's the whole point. I'm not worried at all about lack of buildings. I'm just glad that they're going back to the AC2 ways of having multiple cities to explore.

Yeah...adding a couple locations which were never known for their grand high rise cities does not fill me with anticipation for scaling cool stuff. They took a step back from it with 3 with all the tree free running (while neat, again it isn't jumping from tall building to tall building in Jerusalem or Venice.

They are obviously billing the sailing as the key element on the game so that is what the focus will be. I'm sure they'll throw all the token stuff that makes an "Assassin's Creed" game in there but the question is how much of it will appear.
