Picture yourself in this situation. You're using a money glitched canvas map, and you're just adding the finishing touches, when all of a sudden, BAM, you accidentally delete something and save! Under normal circumstances, you will never be able to put that back, right? Wrong. It is entirely possible to salvage your map. First of all, if the item you deleted wasn't the only one on the map, skip to step 3. If it was, start from 1. Go to each type of item and set the maximum runtime to 1. Repeat until you have enough money to remake the item you deleted. If there is still not enough money (like if you already have a lot of items placed), then start deleting some of the more trivial items. Once you have enough money, make the item. Place it wherever, but once you're done, save and quit. Upon returning to your map, go back to that item and set the max runtime to the highest. It should then turn to zero. Save and Quit. Repeat number three for each item that's Max Runtime is not set to the highest. Also, if you had to delete items, after setting the max runtime back to the highest, place it back where it was. Much better than starting over, yeah?
Very cool Nemi, thanks for the tip. You get rep for your helpful contribution. What about the auto delete though? This is where you set items not to spawn on a glitch map and once you save and quit they automatically delete, I fear that there may be no remedy for that, oh well.
I wouldn't know. That never happens to me, so I didn't include it, since I don't know what to deal with. What I would try is set the said item to Min/Max instant respawn, and then try the tut. However, I've never had that happen to me.
I've never had items autodelete on me that way? Hmmm..maybe I never noticed lol. Did you save sergeants life nemi?
OMFG THIS JUST HAPPENED TO ME N SHADOW!!!! FblamCK FblamCK FblamCK!!! THANKS SO MUCH NEMI!!!!!! /yelling seriously, this is much obliged, we need this incase it happens again...before we completely manually money glitched, now we got a new idea of what to do...thanks
I really suggest downloading a canvas map and making one yourself. It's a pretty good learning experience, even if it's boring.
ya, we have one downloaded, but it broke on us for some reason, without us deleting anything, it really made no sense...
What are the Max runtimes? Sometimes when you Forge over Live, it messes up and resets it back to one.
the max runtimes, throughout the whole making of this map, have been switching constantly from any number, to any number, it's been the most trippiest experience forging ever, and the scariest honestly, we don't know if one second we are able to save quit without it deleting some random item, or if we will hit a max items because it sais "double box, run time max 18" or some **** like that, it's been freaky....
"Repeat number three for each item that's Max Runtime is not set to the highest." What do you mean? For example, I deleted a glitched double box, and now I've got 4 left that I'm not able to buy.. do I just go to each double box and put the run time max to it's highest?
I thought it wasn't possible to set the run time max lower than there are of something on the map... *confused*
Of course this is for old money glitch, not the one where you can delete stuff. http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Forge#Unlimited_Money_Glitch
orly? Because I haven't seen a canvas where you can delete objects. Carter, the runtime isn't for each individual object, it's for each object type. In your case, you would need to set other objects back down to their lowest so that you could change the double box max runtime back to the max. Then you'd have to fix all of the rest of the items that you changed the max runtimes of.
well your sig really says it all ,+Rep for you my friend i will defiantly remember this in the future Edit: dang it says i have to spread more rep around before giving it to you so i will get back to you on the rep =/
