While Halo 5 is still in deep progress, there still has been some news circulating concerning it. Feel free to post anything halo 5 related.

I can't find the specific video, but during the week before halo 4's launch, someone from I think IGN sat down with one of the people at 343, and started asking about arbiter. And they did talk about arbiter's return in the next halo installments. Most likely in halo 5.

What do you guys think? Is cheif going to meet halsey/Jun? What do you think they're going to do on Earth?

Please don't post any spoilers. Even though I doubt you know any.

This game will most likely be on the next generation consoles, so expect a big leap.

I think the Chief is going to "quit" his service, as he is seen taking off his armour in the last cutscene, but will eventually return.

They said they've been working on the next Halo game since before Halo 4... but that's not saying much at all. In the meantime: This r pretty much speculation thread :p

MC retires, and the next game will be him trying to reintegrate into society

Back on track though, I don't think master chief is 'retiring'. I think He took off his MARK VI armour to put on some hayabusa.

Arbiter and his Elite buddies come back to put a whoopin' on the Elites that are associated with The Storm.

If he does retire or not I think MC will stay the focus of the trilogy (Halo:4,5,6)

Chief has somehow changed his armour for every game, so he must spend time out of it. You actually start Halo 2 being refitted, and the ending scene reminds me a lot of that, so consider it tying up loose ends to provide an easy exposition with new features in halo 5.

Sounds like a Peter Molyneux game.

Would be awesome though ... Total Recall essentially ...

Between Halo 3 and 4, MC's armor was changed by nanobots while he was in stasis.

But I to think he was just getting his armor taken off to be repaired, improved, or just to be studied. I highly doubt he'd retire.

The chief was born, raised, and lives for war, take that away, and you've just created the world's most dangerous headcase.

In other news, 343i seems to be pumping out content like there is no tomorrow now...

Obviously Chief is gonna be the protagonist, it's likely the Didact returns in H5 as he makes that speech at the end of H4.

Sooner or later the Halo Array has to have some major role?
Halo 1: On Halo almost whole campaign.
Halo 2: Start, Earth and Gas mine, Then about of Halo and High Charity in Campagin.
Halo 3: On earth and the ark for much of the game, then on Halo for o ly one mission.
    Halo ODST: No Halo
Halo Reach: No Halo, except ForgeWorld, Tempest and ending credits.
Halo 4: You see a Halo, but Don't GO on it!

Im having a feeling that the Halo rings are being left out,you don't go on Halo Instellation 3 and very little of the plot looks towards Halo. Halo 5 or at least 6 will need to feature something about Halo.

Oh and it would be nice to fight the flood and to fight along side arby again.

Well yeah, the first trilogy, focusing on the Halos, is over now.
While they might show up now, they may not be the main focus, The focus is the composer, the prometheans, or whatever else the Didact is up to. Which serve as an ALTERNATIVE to firing the Halo rings. That is why the plot is still relevant but the use of Halos is becoming less frequent. Didact will probably be the main focus.

Even if you argue that you killed him in H4,
He fell of the bridge into a... Slipspace rupture! Probably going to wherever the data from the composer was being sent. I doubt that grenade was enough to kill him, and lets say I'm wrong and he is dead, if he doesn't return as an AI then he will probably return in a different form.

For those who don't know, there are 2 Didacts. However there's no actual definite way of telling which Didact we are against. Not until the next book anyways. Alot of stuff from the books seems to point the series towards the librarian a little bit more. She was supposed to have died during the lighting of the Halo's but her last known location was apparently Mt Kilimanjaro. Possibly in a Cryptum like the Didact did once before.

Also on the topic of the Arbiter returning?
Technically he wouldn't be "Returning", Arbiter has had lots of lines and appearances in the Kilo five trilogy, but nothing seems to indicate that he would make an appearance in a new game, as far as I'm aware The Arbiter's on sanghelios trying to sort out some form of elite civil war.

And yeah I imagine Chiefs arnour is off so that he can get a new set.
His armor is old, out of date, scarred up. He's dropped from orbit twice wearing that.
    It needs an upgrade...
Lets just hope its nothing like the Spartan 4 permutations.

Please correct me on any of my notes if they are wrong.

^There's one Didact. The original was killed by the head Forerunner. The one MC fights is another forerunner that had the Didact's consciousness.

I don't remember the specific names of the characters but I'm pretty sure that's how it went.
