Nope, there was supposed to be a season 2 but for reasons that escape me there isn't. There is however the Drifters of the Dead OVA.

If you like comedic situations, Love Hina, Panty & Stocking, Highschool DxD, Rosario + Vampire and To Love-Ru are all down the same avenue as HotD, but are all less serious.

Panty & Stocking is hilarious. I definitely recommend that along with Sky. Also, I just started on the fifth volume of Spice & Wolf which begins where the anime left off.

    iz pumped.

Panty & Stocking, ftw (nods at sig ^_^).

Even the english dub version by Funimation is pretty good, so pick that up on DVD/Blu-ray if you get the chance.

I've been thoroughly enthralled by my 3ds this past week, and have been playing Zero escape; Virtues last reward. Normally I wouldnt mention a game in here, but since like 95% of that game is a Visual Novel, I thought I may as well say what I though about it.

And that would be that it is absolutely batshit crazy, and awesome. Suuuuper awesome plot. It IS a thinking mans game though, you will not enjoy the non-novel portions if you are bad at puzzles, period.

Not really anything new in terms of anime lately though.

Starting Love Live! School Idol Project.

Idol anime seems to be popular at the moment.

Been trying to stay updated with the weekly releases of Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai NEXT and Maoyuu Maou Yuusha personally. Didn't think i'd enjoy Haganai all that much however I was pleasantly surprised about it.

I haven't been keeping up with Tomodachi much. I wouldn't start the anime because I was reading the mange, but I stopped following that about two months ago. I think it would be a good time to just start again from the first season.

Hahaha, that looks creepy as ****, Sky.

There's this trailer of anime movie that I imagine was supposed to come out around last year, but I cannot find it to save my life (both streaming and online shopping). I'm disappoint, it looks really good.

If it makes you feel any better I watched the first season in a day (plus the few episodes from season 2), completed the manga in a few days, and am currently reading all the short novels for the series.

All in all it's worth it.

I have no idea why, but we're watching Madoka Magica at the Anime Society at uni. Time to scar some people for life.

Hahaha, that basically is how it goes for any anime shorter than ~30 episodes for me, in general. I dont usually read manga though, when I do, they are suuuuuper long manga like Berserk, or Gantz. Usually something with gratuitous violence.

Also, Aub, I think that is all there is of that. Everything Ive seen saying it was being worked on was from 2010, gives me the impression it isnt coming.

Ah, that's disappointing. I love that kind of sleek animation in conjunction with what looks like a pretty original storyline.

I usually read manga over watching the anime because I feel like the anime ommits certain parts of the story to save time. That's the reason I can't generally watch something after I've started reading it, lol.

haha, I can only imagine how that'll end sky.

    Spoiler-d cause I don't know who's seen it and who's not.

We've already ruined the magical girl theme with the loss of Mami's head. The quote someone came up with at the end of that episode was "The fluffiness stops here"

So, month 2 of my 12 months of Anime. This time it's Tari Tari and something else. Suggest things!

EDIT: Found this, English dub of the Madoka Ending, sends shivers down my spine every time I hear it, but it's awesome.

mmm, you could try Baccano or Welcome to the NHK. Tsuritama is pretty interesting as well. Perhaps Toradora or Spice & Wolf if you haven't seen either. I highly recommend the latter.

That reminded me of the second Mirai Nikki OP. I have no idea why, though. I'm actually considering watching Mirai Nikki or Madoka again, lol.

    I just found this:

    h

Its the ending to Jojo's bizarre adventure 2012, put to what I assume is the credis of madoka magica. The best part (if that really is the madoka credits) is that it is almost the exact same as jojo's.

Doesnt make me want to watch it, but its still amusing.

I second Baccano!, but ONLY if you watch the proper English dub version. The English dub of Baccano! is amazing and because it's actually set in America, it even makes more sense to watch it in English.

Hahaha, yes. If you do watch Baccano, you should watch the english dub JUST for Miria and Isaac's voices.

Yes, english dub Isaac and Miria from Baccano are two of my favorite characters ever, I was severely disappointed that they werent the same voice actors in their cameo appearance in Durarara.

No, their all DVD's. I do have some shows that I did download over the PlayStation Network. These are just the first episodes:

    Bamboo Blade.
    Fairy Tale.
    Queen's Blade.
    Strike Witches.
    Tower of Druaga.
    UFO Ultra Maiden Valkyrie.

The only anime Blu-Ray that I do have is Ghost In The Shell 2.0. It's essentially an HD enhancement of the original. It's pretty awesome.
