Forgery Quite literally 'Forged' by | Zatherla With significant contribution from | Hushed Behemoth and A Lonely Schmeef Players | 4 - 8 (Default) Gametypes | Slayer (Default) A very keen observation you have made there mister Bungie, because this is indeed not your map. Instead, what you are about to see is a replica of the 'original Forge map'. Appropriately deemed Forgery this remake of Foundry is, with lack of a better term, astounding. Zatherla has always had an eye for detail, and he certainly does not disappoint in this feature today. Everything you know and love about the map that got you started on your Forging career is here for you to love and bask in the overwhelming sense of nostalgia it will undoubtedly cast upon you. Every detail has been carefully replicated down to the inaccessible cranes and upper lip near the roof of the map. Even the view outside of the window is eerily similar to the original, sans a lonely visitor of sorts. This map does contain the playable default version of Foundry on it, but one more added feature to this map makes use of object locking and the 'delete all' feature to allow everyone to delete default Foundry and forge on the blank canvas Foundry, just like old times *sniff*. Do not get carried away though. A vast majority of the Impact budget was spent on making the physical canvas of Forgery look as majestic and perfect as it does. So feel free to Forge on this Forge canvas within a Forge canvas. Just don't lose track of what is reality and stuff. If you haven't already, download this. Now. It has to be experienced to be believed and while the map may perform poorly in terms of gameplay, it is sure a lovely thing to look at that makes me realize that in spite of Sandbox and even Forge World, Foundry never lost its flair nor its novelty. You can easily download the map by conducting an in-game fileshare search of 'Zatherla' and it will be listed as 'FORGERY'. As a bit of a side challenge and an homage to one of my favorite forged maps of all time I challenge you to remake a working version of Manifest on this map. If you did, it would reward you some serious cool points on my behalf and most of FH as well. As always, we are looking for feature worthy content, so if you have seen a map floating around the board that you think is worthy of a feature then head on over to recommend that map for a feature. Additionally, if you have any questions about this article in specific feel free to voice them in our front page feedback. Happy Forging Forge Hub, Organite
Very deserved. This was such a cool idea and it was put together very well. I still miss the prettiness of the Ravine version, but I'm just glad you guys got it together.
(Tear in my eye as I delete my unfinished Foundry remake.) This is just pure awesomeness. Its a word.
Well this is certainly a welcome new feature! Congratulations and thank you to you all who contributed to create such a beauty. I'm sure there will be many a grand time had here, and quite a few new maps forged in your forged map.
This map is amazingly beautiful. Though the framerate is to the point of being unplayable, which is a shame too because it's so damn good.
Zath, congrats on the feature. It is well deserved. You should post it in halo 4 aesthetics now that they are open. You can be the first aesthetic map in the halo 4 map area if you hurry!
So I guess this got featured because of aesthetics? Like mick said, this map is nearly unplayable. I hope you don't continue the trend of overlooking FR performance in features like in reach. Also, this map didn't even place. It seems odd to not feature one of the actual winners first.
Yes this is an aesthetic map feature. It was pretty much disqualified from the tournament because Zath entered an aesthetic map for a competitive map competition. This was decided to be a feature a while back whereas Elegy was just recently decided to be first place in the comp. Does that ease you a little bit?
Well you do have a player count listed... I totally agree as an aesthetic map it deserves a feature, but yeah...
Well, this was unexpected. Thanks for all the controversy, I guess. And I'm sorry guys, but as an aesthetic forger, it is way too hard for me to make anything that does not have framerate. I set the bar too high for myself.
Thanks for all the credit, guys! /) But I'm extremely surprised we got a feature, haha. I can say that I'm not too proud of getting a half-feature with this much framerate.... But then then again, Zath IS Zath...
Great map is Great. So Great that I even voted it as Great. Great sounds like a weird word when you say it a bunch. Great.
What's that supposed to mean? Also, i'm very surprised on how little credit you got. I mean you did practically forge the entire map. I voted it as Good, hahaha. Too much framerate. Also, for your little 'great' thing, see here.
Yep. Competitive maps and aesthetic maps should be considered on their own, very separate merits. Minigames and puzzles likewise. But never fear, there are several competitive-type players/forgers on staff right now.
I can't believe I haven't comment on this fantastic creation yet. This is nostalgic bliss and well deserving of a feature, even if it is purely aesthetic. Elegy bows to this map's pure beauty.
