Cargo is a large map I made inspired from a map from a different game. Big brownie points if you recognize it. It is a CTF map which features a tank in the middle that can not go anywhere but back and forth. I thought it was a neat idea and I wanted to try my best to bring it to Halo. I would very much like to play some test games on this so if anyone is free tomorrow to play that would be great. I'm just tossing this on the forums really quick because I am about to head out, so I'm sorry my post is not very descriptive or of any great quality like Fenix Hulk's posts are. The tank is an OP vehicle, but I figured with how restricted it is with movement, it should not be that difficult to take out. I think it adds an interesting element as both teams race for the tank in the beginning.
Personally I don't think you should have the tank. If it cannot move then it will get taken out before it can even be used because both teams will have someone rush it so one person will get in and then the other will board it an destroy it. I think it would be better if you had a warthog instead that could move around freely or two warthogs, one in each base. Also, the two random drops should be in each base. Having two random drops and a power weapon spawn that close to each other will make that spot incredibly OP. Other than that I think it looks like a pretty solid map.
If you know how. Maybe try to get rid of the tank and put down a dominion turret. Adds a bit of a nuisance to all people on the opposite team.
I can not just get rid of the tank without at least play testing first to see how it plays. The tank in the middle is the whole focus and point of the map and it is the reason I made this map. There are warthogs in each base, as well as a mongoose and ghost. You do make a good point about the random drops though. A turret would not be very useful where the tank is as the range of the turret is very short.
Nice job bringing this map over from UT3, that mad rush for the Goliath is always a blast. To those that said to get rid of the tank, did you know this is a remake from one of the best modern arena shooters?
