I already said this ages ago, but cencoroll is like pokemon amped up to 11 and then put on LSD. That is part of the reason I was dissapointed with it, they made me intrigued enough about what is going on to want more out of it, but never delivered.

@waterfall; Glad you liked it, I really enjoyed it as well.

@sky; Damn man, all of those would have been finished in a single month for me. Laugh at waterfall or anyone for 6 hour marathons, I've had days where every single waking second of that day was spent watching anime. (Obviously not EVERY day)

Something else to know, Nekomonogatari is on sites, and Hero and the Demon Queen is started up.

98% of the episode is the demon queen convincing the hero that the war between humans and demons is a good thing, and that she wants to find a way to end the war without bajillions of people dying of starvation afterwards.

Oh, I wasn't making fun of Waterfall or anything. I was just surprised that he managed to do that without losing interest or taking lengthy breaks. I see the resemblence, but it was a giant cup of pudding, haha. The heroine has a thing for them.

I read the "Top 50 Anime of 2012" and the top 5 were anime I had never even thought to watch. I can't figure out if 2012 wasn't that great of a year or if I'm slacking with new anime, lol.

I guess the pudding makes more sense because the girl kept feeding him pudding.

Also I took lengthily breaks while watching :)

So, Tamako Market got released yesterday. Made by KyoAni, the same people who did K-On! and Kokoro Connect.

It's crazy how many of the characters look like others from K-On! and Kokoro but it's too be expected if they both have the same directors and animators.

If you liked K-On, you'll like this.

I've also started on Nekomonogatari. It's good and explains the Tsubasa Cat part of Bake' a bit better, but the cat puns in the subs are driving me nuts. There's no need for them...

ALSO started Durarara because I was bored and I finished YuruYuri♪♪.

Vividred operation also looks good, by the same people who did Strike Witches, but set in a futuristic setting. Loli fanservice is likely.

    AJust finished toradora,

While the concept of Toradora may not be entirely new or original I felt that it was executed much better than other anime of its kind. Character development played a big role and it was very interesting to watch the characters grow from as they were at the beginning to how they ended up. Most every character went through a substantial change. Music for the most part was quite fitting to the story and flowed reasonably well. Also, I love takasu's cleaning face.

    Edit:

I watched the subbed version but I found a dubbed version just to hear what the voices were in English dubbed and they were absolutely terrible.

Edit again: you guys have given some great suggestions, and unless I'm mistaken I have watched them all. Got any more good suggestions?

What genre are you looking for in particular?

I agree about Toradora. I think the most important aspect of romance anime is a characters' development as the series goes on and that one definately portrays that well. Glad you liked it.

I've got a lot of anime and a substantial amount of manga. Here are my favorite anime shows, movies and OVAs.

    Anime Movies:
Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie.
    Sonic The Hedgehog: The Movie.
    Castle In The Sky.
    AppleSeed.
    Silent Mobius: The Motion Picture.
Ghost In The Shell SAC: Solid State Society.
    Digimon: The Movie.
    Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.
    Ghost In The Shell 2.0.
    Patlabor The Movie.
    Patlabor 2 The Movie.
    Kiki's Delivery Service.
    Cowboy Bebop: The Movie.
    GunDress.
    Resident Evil: Degeneration.
You're Under Arrest: The Motion Picture.

    Anime OVA's:
    Iria: Zeiram The Animation.
Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory.
    Ruin Explorers.
All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku.
    Gunsmith Cats: Bullet-Proof.
    Dominion Tank Police.
    AppleSeed.
    Blue Seed Beyond.
    Bubblegum Crisis.
    Bubblegum Crash.
    Stratos-4: Return To Base.
    New Dominion Tank Police.
    Halo Legends.
    Submarine 707R.
    You're Under Arrest Mini-Specials.

    Anime Television Shows:
    Pumpkin Scissors.
    VanDread.
    Outlaw-Star.
    The Big-O.
    Silent Mobius.
    Martian Successor Nadesico.
    Blue Seed.
    Patlabor: The Mobile Police.
    Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040
    You're Under Arrest.
    Lucky Star.
    XenoSaga: The Animation.
    Black Lagoon.
    Zoids Chaotic Century.
    Zoids.
    Stratos-4.
    Love Hina.
The Third: The Girl With The Blue Eye.
    Azumanga Daioh.
    Pani Poni Dash.
    Battle Doll Angelic Layer.
    Digimon: Digital Monsters.
Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex.
Ghost In The Shell SAC: 2nd Gig.
    Cowboy Bebop.

Like I said I have a bunch of other titles, but the ones listed above are my favorites. Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040 was supposed to get a second season, but the company that had the license for distribution here in the US, ADV Films, closed up shop. I saw the second season of The Big-O because I'd seen the first season. I ended up not really liking the second season because the way it ended made absolutely no sense what-so-ever. Gunsmith Cats was a pretty good OVA, and I think it should have gotten a TV series of it's own, or at the very least a second OVA. Oh well.

In those three lists there's only about 5 series I've heard of. That's an obscure/old collection you have there.

Oh yeah, definately old school. I rewatched this and the original series not too long ago actually. I still loved it the second time around.

Definitely oldschool, some people actually have a difficult time going and watching old stuff because of how much different they look compared to modern stuff. Its a bit easier for us that grew up watching stuff like DBZ, Trigun and Gundam, but these new kids might not appreciate the older works.

Just my thoughts, I could be overthinking it, or simply just be wrong.

Although I grew up watching shows like Pokemon back when they were somewhat new, I actually generally dislike watching any older anime like Ranma. That's not so much because of their LQ but more because of the dodgy animation I often see. That said, I feel like anime was much more... creative back in the day. That's something I miss.

Haha, talking bout creative and weird stuff, I started watching Jojo's Bizarre Adventure... probably the manliest anime about vampires EVER. Its like they took the plot from castlevania, but then put in the main guy from Fist of the North Star in instead of Belmont.

To put it in perspective, the vampire freezes people by evaporating the blood from their body, and the main guy (Jojo) kills zombies and vampires with his FISTS. Yeah.

I just finished one that I stumbled apon accidentally it is maji de watashi ni koi shinasai
Which I think translates to "fall in love with me,seriously" despite the name I wouldn't call it a love story as it's quite comedic at times and features quite a bit of fighting and action.

art and animations were quite good and characters were nicely rounded in terms of development, it is quite short but they ended it at a good time. There was a lot to like from this one.

If it interests you I would recommend it, it is 12 episodes long, each one being about a half hour long.

Most of these titles people won't recognize. This is just a small portion of my overall collection, which is about 266 titles.
