I was waiting on a 3D Pokemon on a handheld for a long time, but unfortunately I seem to be unable to get back into Pokemon. Since Gen 5 started I've tried to go back and play some of the games again, but I just can't seem to enjoy it anymore. This looks good, but with the inclusion of needing a new system I don't see myself going back in for another try at getting back into the series.
OH MAH GAWD. Both that Fire starter and even the Y legendary look interesting. I sure as hell better be able to transfer my white 2 pokemon to it without needing another system, cause a full 3d pokemon game looks dope. I was hoping they would do a full 3d game next, though I was hoping for a ruby/sapphire remake as well.
ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod Seriously pumped. I might have to buy this in the Japanese version first, considering they usually come out sooner, because this game looks like it could make Pokemon fun again. VERY excited.
Haven't played a Pokemon game in about 10+ years, but I've been waiting forever for a proper 3D Pokemon game. What do you guys think, should I buy a 3DS just for this? I'm not quite sure yet, might wait for the reviews and such.
"X" and "Y" is pretty stupid, to be completely honest. But, I'll be using the fire-type fox if I run into some money before it releases. I can have an entire team of Fennekin, Nine-Tails, Flareon, Growlithe, Houndoom, an Arcanine.
I want a team of all water starters, one from each generation. Blastoise Feraligatr Swampert Empoleon Samurott (inset new starter here)
Frokie is the new water starter I think (if I can assume the 3 known 6gen pokeon are all starters). Xun, I wouldnt get a 3ds for this game alone, unless it has an incredible draw for you. If you were to get it I would do it for all of the great 3ds games. mario Kart 7, the Super Mario Bros games, Starfox 64 3D, Legend of Zelda (n64 remake), and I'm sure there are plenty of other great games. But if all you want is Pokemon 6gen, I'm not sure its worth 210 USD.
There are other games for 3ds out or coming out that would make the purchase worth it. Fire Emblem, Proffessor Layton, Tales of the Abyss, Luigi's Mansion 2, Mariokart 7, a smash bros game later this year, Shin megami tensei 4... I probably could go on, but I wont. As for "X and Y" being stupid... everyone bitches about something. Some people ***** about the names, some the monsters... almost all of them think they are fine once the next gen comes out. But seriously, you can't expect them to have a super awesome name, they have pretty much exhausted all of the opposites they can name the games without getting into the actual retarded names like; Pokemon Girl and Boy! The only decent one I can think of is Pokemon Earth and Sky versions, but even those sound bad. But yeah, Im totally hoping Fennekin isnt a Fire/Fighting... I am sick of Fire/Fighting starters. Maybe mix it up and do Fire/Psychic.
Based on what I've heard, the general assumption is that the typing will go Fire/Psychic, Grass/Dark, and Water/Fighting which are some pretty sweet matchups imo. I'm so pumped for this game! I'm gonna have to go back to stalking Serebii.net just to keep up to date on new information.
funny enough, I posted that exact thought about the types in the comments on the gameinformer article. I just think it would be nice for each starter to have a type advantage against both the others.
Well, I probably wouldn't just buy a 3DS for one game alone, I'd highly likely buy others because I'd probably get over one game very fast. I could always give it to my partner when I finish with it, though. She's not a gamer, but I could probably corrupt her.
I dont know where he heard it, but I deduced it from the trailer. Fennekin looks like it used a psychic move, froakie got in close with a bunch of attacks (fighting), and if they were doing a reverse trio that would make the last one dark type.
It's not confirmed or anything. That's just the general belief that fans have developed after studying the trailer. If you take a look at the comments that people have made on Youtube, IGN or just about any other place that has the trailer you'll see that's what most of the people think regarding their types. It seems pretty logical based on the trailer. As Aschur said, each starters perform moves that look like they could be of the type that everyone is associating them with. Also, for anyone that doesn't know yet, the X legendary is called "Xerneas" While the Y legendary is called "Yveltal."
I see what you mean about the moves looking like fighting and psychic. Nice catch. I almost wish they didnt tell us of X and Y, the 10 months of waiting will be highly annoying. Hopefully it's released Oct. the -100th.
