So, I have until Jan 15th to buy the season pass, level a character up to 50, and beat the first two dlcs? Easy.
Would anyone be willing to help me level a lvl15 character to ~23 tonight? Preferably by someone with a lvl45-50 character.
Just got this the other day and loving it. Its weird in that it looks EXACTLY the same as Borderlands 1 (or so it seems); but when you actually play it feels so much more accomplished/enjoyable. I'm only a Level 13 commando pointman, just doing the side missions before the mission 'A Dam Fine Rescue'.
Im gonna go out on a limb and guess you're playing it on 360, cause if you were playing on pc you would/should have noticed a sizeable difference in how the two look. Also the fact that the pc port isnt **** this time around helps considerably. but yeah it does look the same when you play it on the 10 year old hardware that the 360 is.
I love how I have to redownload the compatibility pack AND the latest DLC just to be able to play online with a friend...
So this is interesting Basically, dear season pass owners; **** you. Sincerely, Gearbox The first two DLCs and Gaige are effectively free.
No, it looks to be the same price it is now. It doesn't appear to change anything for better or worse.
The difference is that add-on content that's shipped on physical discs is classified differently, so it doesn't actually grant you a license. You just need the file on your HDD to use it. That's how I got the DLC I have for BL1. A friend of a friend bought the GOTY or whatever came with a second disc and it got passed around our circle of friends. It was nice, in that we didn't all have to buy the DLC to play together, but I didn't think Gearbox would do that again. It's frustrating because my brother and I both bought all the DLC up to this point, when we could have shared a disc.
You would be missing both Hammerlock and the cap-raising expansion they're adding next, though. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of this season pass trend, but this doesn't seem to be a big deal.
You bought the Season Pass so you could play the DLC Day 1. Complaining that you could have got it cheaper months down the road is just stupid.
It's not a big deal - just frustrating that I could have saved money and gotten a lot more versatility. My brother actually bought his DLC piecemeal. He was waiting for something like this, but he caved because he didn't think they would do it. And it's not just that it's cheaper - it's a far more versatile medium.
I finished Playthrough 1 with my Mechromancer and decided to play the DLC before starting TVHM. The thing is, everything is capped at 30. Guns, enemies, missions, etc. That's not really a problem for me, as I enjoy slicing through enemies like warm butter. However, getting less than 10xp for each kill is a little annoying. The real problem arose when I started Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt, where everything is capped at 35 instead of 30. So, now I'm stuck with level 30 guns trying to fight level 35 enemies (and getting jack sh!t from chests or drops). There's only one set of Vending Machines that I have come across so far, and I've only managed to get a decent shield out of them. If not for Deathtrap, I probably would have given up playing this DLC until TVHM. The way they scale (or don't scale) stuff in this game gets really annoying sometimes...
Have you tried starting the second playthrough and then playing the DLC? I would imagine they would scale to you at that point.
