People are linking that website rather than twitter itself. Is there an actual tweet? The panel on the right ("this image was created in 3 seconds") has me worried that some troll made the image.

I haven't tried to search their Twitter (mainly because I don't have one) but I'd imagine it's because they most likely deleted that specific tweet. Tis a complete guess though.

Well, looks like that Limited Editon purchase is paying off after all.

...that looked sketchy as hell. That tweet didn't sound like something that would come from an official Microsoft source, especially one called, "Xbox Support", and even if it was, all that would prove is they were aware of what was going on not that they were crafting a cover up. 343i is a subsidiary of Microsoft Game Studios, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that executive decisions that affect Microsoft's bottom dollar, especially glitches that cause hundreds of dollars of free merchandise to slip away, come from Microsoft and not 343i. That being said, as I said I completely understand why the lie was crafted. My opinion on all of this is why does anyone care? Yes, lying = bad. Since this lie was more of the, "well we made a mistake but we don't want to tell you kind" and not the kind of lie that denies people information or costs people something, it's all rather moot isn't it? People are upset a company did what companies do?

You severely overestimate 343i, They have made tons of mistakes with halo 4(not just big ones with gameplay and marketing and stuff even the little 1000's of glitches riddled in the game are all mistakes they made in codding)

So starting off it's not uncommon for 343i to make mistakes and It seem much more unlikely to me that microsoft will admit a problem then force 343i into saying its not a problem it was a 14day trail.

Meaning microsoft has no respect for 343i and if there publicly forced to lie about things that can be bought with real money which I'm pretty sure is illegal in business stuff or something.

I think this community in particular is vulnerable to that. For years we felt like we had a special relationship with Bungie, who was more of an independent we-do-what-we-want-and-we-love-you operation (or at least they tried very hard to project and maintain that image, even while raking in untold millions of dollars and being associated with the biggest corporation on Earth). People were worried about the transfer to 343; I think a lot of people have been especially worried that the basic relationship between us and them was going to change. And it has. Which is not to say it's 100% for the better or worse, but I definitely feel that 343 has taken a more corporate, removed approach than Bungie did, more so now that the game is out (they were more talkative, though guarded, in the pre-release hype cycle).
