Did they specifically say January? Last I heard was early 2013, so I'd guess February to coincide with the next map pack and maybe a TU.
That might be correct. I haven't seen the original source, just heard it cited from reliable people on this forum a number of times.
Looks like trueskill is a lot more complicated and accurate than we would have thought. Progressively more complicated: https://forums.halowaypoint.com/yaf_postst170354_How-Matchmaking-Works---A-Basic-Overview.aspx TrueSkill Ranking System - Microsoft Research TrueSkill
I don't really see what that proves. First off, those links and also other more detailed mathematical explanations have been posted before, they circulated in discussions around both Halo 3 and Reach. Plenty of people in the skill matching discussion, even on FH specifically, are definitely aware how complicated it is. And complexity =/= accuracy. Sure it helps, but accuracy is best judged by results, not looking at lots of equations and thinking that it's complicated so it must be accurate. Showing the complexity of the system doesn't make it any more accurate.
I'd like you to know that I read this in the voice of Joe Pesci. And yeah, definitely interesting. I think it'd help if more people knew the nature of trueskill (mainly the division in to sigma and mu values), as it helps you understand the nature of the beast a bit more, especially how your value and resulting matches change over time.
I think the only fun I have in this game at this point is from running around and spamming Regen Field at randies trying to snipe, completely distorting their vision; they get so pissed. #prickStatus
Is it true that you have to win such games 100 times in total in order to get the (f-ing awesome) Locus skin? Halo 4: King of the Hill conquers 7-Eleven with Mountain Dew and Doritos
Ha yeah my buddy was going to get me a code for that, he did it twice. He's a cop so he just camped 7-11 all night for a couple weeks.
That whole brand doesn't even exist in the Netherlands. Can you imagine how I feel about all this co-branding.
haha, I only played Timesplitters 2 via splitscreen and I think the mulitpliayer is better than any halo game alive today. Besides the story was well put together and if you played the game in different modes such as easy via hard, things changed in the story which was very cool. I wish the good games were still around today instead of a forever sequel of halo, COD, and battlefield. Its like the gaming industries don't put any effort in games anymore...
TS was fantastic, totally agreed there, but how is doing sequels for one old series putting in more effort than the sequels they have for those 3 games today?
I don't believe it; she called the Waypoint community intelligent and creative. Something is off about her post.
I still think Timesplitters Future Perfect is the best FPS, but Halo 4 is pretty good as well. I was shocked the 1st time I played Halo CE (after Timesplitters 2 I think) because that felt so slow lol.
"Halo 4 is the best and fastest-selling Halo game in the series" Oh brother. I am far from a Halo 4 or 343i hater, but... oh, BROTHER.
