I just turn off my Xbox whenever people vote for Complex. It makes me facepalm. Also, Harvest is a small-medium sized map.
Speaking of hardlight reflection, I killed a tank a few days ago on Exile by reflecting its own shell back at it. Many lols were had. Hardlight for best AA '13
That is the most awesome use for the shield that i have ever heard. And i want to see it, and do it myself Now im gunna try it.
I think I'm gonna be using Covenant Carbine Magnum Frag Grenade Promethian Vision Shielding Dexterity
I don't think you can have Shielding and Dexterity. If I remember correctly, I've tried it once before but they're in the same slot so it's impossible. Ignore me if I'm completely wrong.
They are in different slots. Also, the carbine is perfect for my cqc playstyle. Even on large maps I can get very close to the enemy.
Ah right. I might have to try that sometime then haha - I've always thought they were the best two bonuses. And wouldn't an automatic weapon better suit your CQC play style? The Magnum has enough precision at CQC and (I think) it kills faster than the Carbine - three shots and a melee is a guaranteed kill, whereas with the Carbine it'd be a few more shots.
Just throwing it out there that I personally love the Carbine. Thing rips up on Haven. Especially good paired with a Storm Rifle for smaller maps.
Automatic weapons are practically useless. Even at close range you'll end up dead almost every time from my experience. You're better off trying to beat people down. The AR is a glorified club.
I have yet to lose against an AR or win using an AR. Maybe I and everyone I've played against just sucked with it. I've always wanted them to stop making the AR terrible so I'll try it again. nospam: CC PP Plasma Pro vision I feel like such a **** using this in big team but it works so well against vehicles.
I have yet to bother unlocking promethean weapons. AR DMR or carbine Plasma Grenade (though I totally don't know how to use them. haven't tried shooting them yet, like on timesplitters) Firepower Sensor I don't use AAs. maybe later.
The AR is way better than it has been in any past Halo game, and it's good enough that I'm making a point of using it as my secondary in several loadouts (even over the boltshot - though I think the boltshot is better, I just get tired of CQC campfests). It's both accurate and powerful at midrange, and will regularly beat out precision weapons at that range or closer. AR + jetpack, as already mentioned, can be monstrous - I like to use it against boltshot whores (lure them into thinking they have an easy corner kill, fly up in the air for the disorientation and extra range, and mow them down).
