I WANT NOW! AMAZING, also thank you for incorporating Portal so elegantly into Halo 4. By far the best Valve franchise. Also, you should have incorporated a witty Cave Johnson line here.
No mention of this being a remake? We used to bust out the Reach Episphere during lobbies for a giggle - it was incredibly entertaining. I expect this one to be more of the same.
so basically its a hollowed out sphere with no cover and tones of weapons and no gravity? whats it for a mini game?
I love the video. Actually looks pretty cool, a better fiesta map than I ahve seen before. And yes, of course it's a mini-game.
Aww dang, literally just finished my version of this yesterday. Out of curiosity how big is yours? my base size is 5x5s and the curve goes in increments of 15 degrees...also how good is that gametype from your video? looked like you were running unlimited evade (which is what i was playing around with too) which ive found makes it really hard to get more than a couple kills because no one stays in one place for more than a second
It's a mini-game where you have really jacked-up speed and evade (now thruster) so you can fly around the entire thing at a million miles an hour. In the original every single weapon was a 1-shot-kill, and you spawned with random weapons to try to your fellow sphere-flying idiots. It's very fun, though some weapons are impossible to kill anyone with. My greatest achievement was probably getting a splaser kill on this map - between the precision aim and the charge time, the fact that I hit someone with it was basically random.
For some reason that is all I gathered from your post WhiteRice. I had to let my immaturity get the best of me just this once. Sorry for the minor thread derail, Cryp! The video was very well made. I'd like to try this out sometime after you release it. Looks very fun
Hahah thanks Nutduster I was getting there, trying to build hype before I fully outlined what people were watching, but nevertheless. With thruster pack it adds a new level of skill as you cant just predict where someone is sliding as they can simply change direction at any point now. Plus you can fly horizontally around the sphere now without sliding back to the bottom mid. And yes, weapons are nearly 1 hit kill, but not quite.
This looks awesome! Maybe if he makes another trailer when it's released, because then it really will be here.
