SAO isnt even ****ing done, and the put it on the list. are they retarded? and Natsume's Book of Friends has like either four or five seasons, it needs no sequel. (most of the stuff on it doesnt, working! does though) As for even the idea of a second SAO, it all depends on how it ends off. It has the potential to have a VERY memorable ending if they do what I think they may next in the story. It would be pretty hard to capture the same feel with a sequel. My thoughts are, if the story has a good ending as it is (Angel Beats, AnoHana, etc.) then, it is more detrimental to make a sequel than it is to make a side story or OVA. I mean, Angel Beats just wouldnt be the same if they continued its story on. And I honestly doubt that SAO would make a good sequel either (assuming Asuna is rescued before the end, if she isnt, then they are setting up for a second season. Not a sequel though.) Another thing, I find i irritating when people or sites call a second season a sequel. It isnt. I mean, in the most generic sense o the term, I suppose it is right, but it really isnt the same. Example; Dragonball had several seasons, those were not sequels though, the sequels were Dragonball Z and Dragonball GT. sorry for my rant-esque post.
So is Evangelion rebuild like actually a sequel or is it just a continuation of the remastering version?
The Rebuild series is basically a remastered version of the original series with a supposed alternative ending. The first series' ending was absolutely rediculous due to budget constraints, so they made End of Evangelion as a result to cover that. Still, that wasn't how the director wanted the series to end either, so he started making these movies with the "real" ending. Personally, I liked everything up until the final episodes about the original series, so it's disappointing to see some things changed. With that said, I think End of Evangelion will always be my favorite version. Quite honestly, that movie is on par with the newer ones if not better in my opinion. Aschur, I agree with the third paragraph. There are some anime that just don't need second seasons because the ending doesn't leave room for a different, strong plot. The only possible second season I could see for Angel Beats would be what was done in the OVA, but that's basically nothing but a repeat of the original. Heck, To Love-Ru Darkness is a justified sequel given it covers a topic that was shrouded in mystery in the first series. I still don't understand how they could have missed Spice and Wolf, hahaha. Tis one of the greatest romances I have watched but has the biggest cliff hanger as well. I'm almost tempted to read the novels.
I'm not reading anything prior to this about Evangelion because I want to go in completely and absolutely blind. Which Evangelion do I watch? And am I right in assuming Evangelion = Neon Genesis Evangelion?
You would probably want to watch the original 26 episode series first, than watch End of Evangelion. Though it's formatted like a movie, End of Evangelion is a remake of the lackluster final episodes of the original series. The Rebuild series is just a remastered version of the original series broken up into four movies and will end with another alternative ending. Aside from that, you have the Death & Rebirth movie, but that's just a recap of the original series and a preview of End of Evangelion. Evangelion is the title for the Rebuild series, while Neon Genesis Evangelion is the title for the original series. Additionally, it's one of those anime that doesn't seem very good and progresses to fast at first, but it gets much better later on.
Angel Beats Doesn't need a 2nd season. There's nowhere for it to go. It should be left as what it is. Evangelion sounds super complicated to watch, so I'ma give it a miss for now until I find a gap in my "to watch" list. I've currently got Tari Tari, Kokoro Connect, Okami-san and her Seven Companions, All 5 series of Initial D, Yuru Yuri 2, the 2nd Season of AKB0048 starts soon, 2nd arc of SAO and Fate Stay/Night when we finish Fate/Zero at the anime society.

Dango Daikazoku should be at the top. I love that ending to bits. So simple and light, it brings a smile to my face every time.
猫物語(é»’) PV [Nekomonogatari] - YouTube I can't figure out whether this will be a movie or not. It has the above average animation you would see in one, but I read that it would be a series. That PV made it seem like a movie, even. I liked Dango too. It was one of those endings that I felt fit perfectly with the end of some episodes. Certain parts of it are pretty odd, though. Aschur | 306 Auburn | 261 ♥ Sky | 253 Zigywig | 96 That's how many times the top four posters have posted, hahaha. The gap between three and four is rediculously large.
Being as Nekomonogatari is just Hanekawa's story, I wouldnt be surprised with it just bing a movie. However my reason that I won't like it as much as Kizumonogatari is that I simply didnt care for Hanekawa at all, didnt like the character one bit. As for the top four poster in here, finally I'm at the top of something. It's kinda silly to see that I've posted more than 3 times as much as the person 3 places lower than me.
I really liked Hanekawa in Bake and even more so in Nise. She's a good rival to Senjougahara and her cat form is on the sexy side. I'm suprised I'm not higher on that list too be honest, how the hell did you calculate it?
It's odd knowing almost a third of my posts come from this thread, hahaha. I liked Hanekawa too. She has a very calm character and I thought her supernatural happenings were the most interesting aside from Koyomi's. To be honest, the only character in that series I didn't like was Tsubasa. Sky, in the general chat page, if you click on the total number of posts in the thread, it will give you a list of who's posted and how many times.
