Yeah, the amount of bitching about bugs and gameplay balances in Halo 2 was huge, don't pretend this is a new phenomenon.
I don't know, I didn't play halo 2. I got more used to players having fun discovering glitches. (though I don't think they were online players). well, as long as they are minor and rare. anything game breaking shouldn't be accepted of course. balance is something else. though, I was more about the "evil conspiration to make money" sure, people have always bitched about glitches, but they wouldn't ***** about every single one of them for the only reason that companies are evil and just want money.
You said that a few years ago this bitching didn't happen. It did. Now you admit you didn't even play then, so where is this coming from? Halo 3 wasn't as buggy (thank you, open beta), nor was Reach, so it's not true that people simply embraced bugs etc. And those that were present got bitched about as well.
My views on Microsoft have nothing to do with updating Halo 4 or TU updates. Just the company in general I don't like for many reasons. I am not pissed or bitching about Halo not getting updates to suit what I want. In fact, I am satisfied with the game how it is for the exception of a few features in forge, I would like some more big team maps, and I am having issues with the skill levels of players I am connecting to in matchmaking. After all 3 DLC is released I will have enough big team maps for the most part... I am sure they will put back in a couple of the forge features... and the matchmaking I can live with.
Then why bring your irrelevant gripes in to this thread and tie it in to the discussion about updates being for profit? If you've got an axe to grind there are better places.
I didn't play halo 2. I played other games (and I actually think most of them are older than Halo 2). if halo 4 was truely horrible, I would understand the bitching, but seriously it isn't. it isn't perfect, but I enjoy it so far. I complained about a couple stuffs in forge, but I can still make maps.
It is easily the glitchiest Halo, the fact that glitchier games have existed in the history of gaming is not an excuse. Particularly for something of this budget, it's pretty disappointing. Not as a game (well obviously that's subjective, but reception seems good by and large), but in terms of polish and general QA.
Yes, exactly that. There's nothing game-breaking wrong with Halo 4, but the amount of game-affecting (or simply damn annoying) minor glitches is unacceptable for a big-budget title, and 343 should very well be fixing them with haste.
yea, give us the fileshare feature enabled on websites for very easy downloading and community organizing! Even better, give us the ability to search for "Open" custom matches so that we can play customs without having to maintain a gigantic number of friends at all times...
Fileshare will be enabled but probably not for another month. I doubt they will ever implement a feature to search for custom games...as cool as that would be.
hey, we can keep wishing, though, can't we? that one feature would give this unlimited life-span, though, that is not what M$ wants, now is it?
Err did anyone else have the update today? What did it have? Checking 343 now. Edit: Couldn't find anything.
yes, I got it over lunch... not sure what the changes were... I think I noticed one difference when loading a forge map. It actually went through all of the % of loading rather than just selecting a map and having it be ready.
lol yeah...it was just to take away your free Crimson Map Pack. Honestly I don't even care for the map pack. Being a Big Team Battler, almost every damn pre-game lobby has Shattered and Wreckage as 2 out of the 3 maps to vote on...every time! I am sick of it...I don't like how the maps play with 8 vs 8 since they are 12 player maps and below. But now I gotta play every big team game on Wreckage or Shattered so it makes me wish I didn't have the maps.
