Hey guys, me and my friend we're talking and we thought it'd bee cool to make an "Ultimate Frisbee" Griffball variant. The Griff wouldn't be able to move or jump and you'd have to constantly be throwing the ball. We decided to just use the Griffball court and use that. The thing is we wanted to make an "Endzone" instead of a "score plate" That way all you had to do is get to the other side. I couldn't seem to get this to work. I make toe Item Area as wide but you still had to be right on the plate to capture. Can anyone help with this? Is there a way to make it so you just have to get to the other side to score?

We also wanted to make it so its 5, 1 score rounds. We wanted to ball to spawn on each teams side every round. Or round one its on Red, 2 on Blue, 3 on red, etc... Is there a way to do that?

You could try a teleporter that drops you onto the capture plate. Teleporter size functions for sure.

Only issue is that you could have players without the ball walking into the endzone.. If you set the capture plate in the roof of the stadium, then players who walk in without the ball will just fall back into the stadium. If they have the ball, the round will just end.

That is a great idea. The only problem is Grifs can't move. Rigging it that way would require a perfcet combo of jumping into the teleporter, and catching at the right time in the air to keep enough momentum to get into the teleporter.

    Hmm..

I think you misunderstand the teleporter idea. Expand the sender node to the entire end zone.

Grifs not moving is a problem, though.. Is it possible to set the teleporter up such that it only works when someone with Grif traits is in its area of effect?

make the grifs able to jump, not move. Have the teleporter high enough in the air that regular people cant reach it, catch the ball in the endzone, jump, and score.

    aka

grifs cant move, but can super jump.
only super jumpers can teleport whilst jumping in endzones.

this also adds some possible cool effects, such as jumping to add throw distance.
however this adds a issue where the opposing team can stand in the wrong endzone and still jump to score (teleporters cannot be limited to a set team)
you would have to set the teleporters to individual goal locations.

if you even consider the idea.

message me if you want any advice or bounce ideas of this minigame. im also working on a soccer minigame which has had me work quite a bit on teleporters and griff ball arena style stuff.
