Hmm.. Yes, but IGN was just assuming it would be on those platforms. You can read that too at the end of the article. I dont think they have any idea, yet. I think Bungie will be revealing more in the coming months, weeks, about that too.
The details of what platforms it would be on was also leaked during the Activision trial with Infinity Ward. Not to mention the very reason Bungie partnered with Activision was to bring their new universe to as many platforms as possible (something Activision does very well)
I'm hoping this is not a PC only release. I do not have a PC to start, but I am also not a big fan of MMO's, even one made by Bungie, so I am hoping for a console game of some type. Not that it being on the PC means it's an MMO, but it was talked about and I would prefer it not to be one.

Still not getting what you mean. Concept art is "concept" art. It is not an exact story board of the events that will happen in a level. They are concepts to be applied to character models, environments, weapons, etc. So, back to your original question based on what you consider "relevant" means then rarely any concept art is a 1:1 relationship to what you see in the game, as that isn't the point behind concept art. However, most to all concept art is relevant to the final ideas that go into the game, even if it is material that was cut from the final product.
I'm saying should I even care about the few images if they are not directly related to the game? Will there be guys walking around with cloaks and a tank with legs?
Probably? As I said, the point behind concept art is to show concepts that will either be in the game or in something cut from the game. Will that exact scene happen in the game, who knows, but what is clear is that there will be some character model that looks like the guy in the cloak and some vehicle that looks like that walking tank. If we get to actually be that guy or operate that vehicle is unknown, that's what gameplay screenshots are for. As far as, the "should you care" question, that's pretty subjective to what your level of caring is to a new Bungie game. No, concept art is rarely vital to understanding what the final product will be, but it does give clues and general ideas and if you are really invested in a developer and the story they want to make that kind of stuff matters. If you are not that invested in it, then no, "the few images" are not important.
Do want do want do want. I like the idea, and love the potential for exploration and discovery. That's what got me into Halo 10 years ago, and what got me on the career path I'm pursuing. The hype has already begun building...
Spoiler Anyone else see the moon and reminded of the didact I will probably buy it just because Bungie has never let me down they seem to know what gamers want or at least what I as a gamer wants. Hard to imagine a horrible bungie game. Also I'm really curious how a non halo game will be like from bungie. Specially since its futuristic as well, will it be like halo and have similarity's in its campaign/multiplayer like will there be a 4 shot style gun and/or strafing and/or power weapon control and things of that nature. Or something completely new and innovative (I'm expecting the latter with tracys of halo gameplay sprinkled in) But I dunno, that's why I'm so curious and intrigued.
I've Beat marathon but never played myth though, I really doubt there going to clone marathon gameplay because its really old and I was under the presumption it was going to be a FPS so myth wouldn't really be cloneable gameplay. When i said "I'm curious how a non halo game will be like by Bungie" I meant a current AAA FPS game from Bungie, Because of how lack luster a lot of AAA console FPS are lately (COD/Halo:4) and Bungie have always been innovators and pushing the limits, It makes me curious to see how they can improve the AAA xbox arena style FPS. (or if there going to do a different genre and innovate in that genre) and that's why I'm curious.
Well if rumors are to be believed its supposed to be a MMOFPS, and there are only a few of those...so does that count?
Since IGN found the press release pictures, there are none others. People could photoshop out the watermark but until Bungie officially releases more pictures then they will all have the IGN watermark.
