Back in halo 3 I made a gametype called packman. I used the "zombies" game mode and created a replica of the original packman map. "Packman" would have a plasma pistol with reduced damage but there would be four orbs with huge damage/shield boost on the map that would make him a invincible killing machine for a short while.

I've run into a few problems converting this gametype into halo4 though, the first being that I can't seem to spawn the custom shield/damage modifiers. The other is that since there is only one human, he always has that "kill" emblem above his head which is visible to all the flood.

I'd appreciate any advice you all can give out

Those are hard coded into the game. To my knowledge, there is no way around it. You can try sending mail to 343i, but that's about it.

I'm making an infection map, and the game won't support the settings I want, so right now, I'm just making the map.

I'm fairly confident that some of those things might be added back in, we just have to wait.

Ah ok, thanks man. You saved me from hours of trying to figure it out how to remove it XD

Is it possible to spawn damage boosters manually or is there a way to use the ordinance drops for that?

Try making pacman the zombie and the ghosts the humans then you'd just have to set it to 1 life and it would work like normal I believe. As for the custom powerup I haven't played around too much in forge yet but if it's not there Idk what to tell you.

    Custom powerup has been removed.

You could set it to a slayer gametype and have two different, team specific trait zones set up covering the entire field, each one giving either the ghost or pac-man different abilities depending on what team they're set for. Then you just have to have on person on the side that gives Pac-Man traits and everyone else on the side of the Ghosts.

To set team-specific trait zones, you have to check the advanced options of the trait zone and set the team variable to the team you want to receive said traits.

I'd recommend setting it so that Pac-Man is slightly slower than the ghosts and can pick up weapons. Then set a 1 hit kill weapon in the 4 power up pill areas and give them limited ammo, allowing the pac-man to kill the chasers. I'd suggest Either a rocket launcher or Fuel Rod. Also set them to never respawn to stop the pac-man player from killing all the players constantly. Obviously the ghosts would not be able to pick up said weapons and would have either a sword or hammer, maybe both. Just some ideas.

Thanks ton for the ideas man! You're a forge guru haha. I'll try out some of those ideas. I'm thinking of also giving packman infinite promethean vision too. It won't play the same as before so I might just have to change around the map design a bit to accommodate the changes as well.

It is possible to do this...unfortunatley it means going outside the "Box" that i wont release specifics,....do to the nature of the site, which i respect, but even i think forgehub needs to agree that halo 4 is very...stringent in its customs ill message you about it
