I bought one recently, too. It was because the old one broke, though, and I wasn't gonna be without an Xbox for Halo 4....

If it makes you feel better, I doubt this thing will actually be out until 2014.

I'm happy as long as it doesn't overheat easily or sound like a medium-sized fan every time it's on (like mine right now). Mine's a piece of junk, the disk drive doesn't even open.

That looks pretty slick, hopefully it runs smoother than my old rickety box of broken dreams does now.

It's worth noting that this is an artist mock up based on what their sources have said about specs, materials used and general appearance, though obviously what they have heard isn't even final.

it looks to much like an ethernet router

knowing Microsoft, they will probably go with something more gaudy, and more easily broken (which means lots and lots of bits of plastic held together with tiny screws and glue)

I'd estimate $250-$300. $400 at the most. This also should be the same size as the current Slim Xbox and at least as loud/quite.

Augmented reality? that sounds pretty sweet (not quite certain what it is). And 8gb of RAM! This looks nice.

keep in mind that the X360 only has 512 MB of ram. Don't forget how well console developers use their ram, though.

I tried to favorite this. Twitter overload.

But really, does anybody think the disc drive looks small? (if that's what the cutout on the side is)

    Again, artist's impression.

That said, the box could just be a little bigger than it looks, making the slot normal size. Look at the superdrive on a Macbook, exactly as wide as it needs to be.

I can't see them moving away from standard sized discs. There's no real benefit there and it just excludes the home theatre market in terms of DVD and Bluray.

For emphasis, since there have already been a few responses in this thread that seem to think that's a real photo of the actual and final design.

OP updated to cite and quote original CVG article, which is clearer on the issue.
