My hazop artic skin armor disappeared Apparently some weird connection **** happened where I was connected to xbox live and able to play online but it lost track of the **** I've unlocked. Restarted my xbox and it all appeared again.
it is sorta disappointing, but at the same time, it was fun as hell to fight all those dudes on ragnarok. in other news, i heard that the wall glitches have been patched! muy bueno.
Titmar, do you mean the moving pieces thing? As for Lynx; IMO, they're OP. You can use them on doorways/chokepoints and hide around corners while you let your shield regen. You can also use them to temporarily funnel players through a narrower passage. (Eg; you have a shotgun and you don't want people backing against the wall) Most of the cases that pulse grenades benefit are cases in which you would (from a competitive standpoint) ideally die.
That's why I asked. I've probably thrown dozens of pulse grenades so far and I don't think I've gotten a single kill with them, except maybe when I threw them into a group of crawlers. That's like saying the sniper rifle is OP because you can kill people from a distance.
No, the sniper rifle punishes people for walking out in the open. The pulse grenade punishes nothing significant but encourages campy behavior and slows the game down. As you said yourself, they're not very useful offensively.
Pulse Grenades OP? Hell no, they suck ass. You can just as easily block a doorway (more effectively) with frags or plasmas. If someone tries to block a doorway with a pulse grenade, I'd just run through it - something I couldn't do if they had used the other types of grenades.
It kind of is. The Pulse Grenade does exactly what it was designed to do. It blocks off passages and makes people move around it, it isn't designed to kill or even hurt players. It doesn't hurt players enough, imo. I would say that it's underpowered, especially when you're only given one. They're a minor inconvenience if anything.
more so? I disagree entirely. Pulse grenades last for a much longer period of time than any frag or plasma explosion, and I'd take a pulse any day over any nade in order to hide + regen shields. Walking through a pulse grenade is also a pretty bad move, considering you'll be damaged pretty heavily.. plus, you don't know exactly where the other guy is around the corner. That plus boltshot...
I feel like I am too stupid to understand what the Pulse Grenade does and how I'm suppose to use them
Them lasting longer isn't really a good thing as people actually have time to react. On the other hand, frags and plasmas explode quicker and I'm pretty sure they're stronger. Sure the pulse has some better qualities than the other nades, they are far from OP.
It is. Like RST said, spincycle described exactly what the pulse grenade is meant to do. I'm pretty sure the pulse grenade is an area denial weapon. It's not very powerful, but it lasts a little bit longer than the other grenades and at least it looks dangerous. I have never been killed by a pulse grenade and I have never had a pulse grenade used to deny me access to anywhere. OP my ass.
I believe it's meant to enhance the "Running away then throwing grenade in path so people don't follow you if they do you can kill them" kinda behavior. But i still think Frag>Pulse for that purpose. -Just as easy to dodge, -Do barely any damage(if only hit a little bit) so you can be willing to take a little damage to kill someone thereby defeating the point of stopping them chasing you(which if was a grenade would of done more damage in same situation) -You can stand directly outside the blast radius and take 0 damage unlike a frag you don't go near at all. I've been feeling like that since I heard the first announcements of the changes in halo 4 ages ago(I hate foresight sometimes). I've Just been trying to not buzz kill anyone since its release while its still a fresh game. It's freezing over here for a BTB/Vehicle/objective/Strategy over Twitch skills Fan, I was actually really curious if MLG was gonna stay with Reach. (because remembered you saying Reach was most competitive MLG gametype post TU) and halo 4 might not be any better (specially with sprint default) and it will really put a bad taste in my mouth if MLG goes on halo 4 because its new and "Not Reach", not because its the most competitive game.
My point exactly. You can consciously avoid the blast radius easily while its active, Frags have random factor (bouncing/angles/etc) so you stand further away from them (because that's how frags deny area's with a risk of damage) then active pulse grenades. Sure pulse have a random factor when been thrown but the risk is far less because the damage of been hit for .1 second of a pulse<frag instant damage. Which outweighs the benefit of a pulse been active for .5 seconds longer or something. Giving an unexploded bouncing frag better area denial then the of a active pulse. (That's not even including the benefit frags have of high potential to kill/pop shields)
I like pulse nades, I was saying that if it came to losing plasma and pulse ina group or keeping both I would choose the former option.
True, but I would still rather at least a few new and interesting play spaces not just the same ones over and over and over. Also the complex one has not been fixed as of the sniper game I had on it a few minutes ago. On the topic of the pulse grenades I've never ones stopped when one is through in front of me. Every time someone has tried it has been when I got them down to one shot while I still had at least half my shields and I didn't lose much more than that sprinting through the pulse field. And unlike frags or even to a lesser extent stickies, they do not bounce. Not of floors or walls or damn near anything other than people. They hit one spot and then do not move other than to do the levitate thing. So to me they are useless in any game type that doesn't require holding a specific place. So they are somewhat handy in KOTH but **** all else.
