Infected Town - Flood

    I'm completely new to this forum in terms of creating an account but I've kinda stalked here a few times for awesome maps without sayin thanks, not anymore! :)

    Anyways, this is the very first map that I have ever created... legit. I've created a map before and I thought I would make a map that I thought would best be fun for everyone and anyone can get into the game without an explanation of how to play.

    Its a basic Flood Type Variant, except the zombies are invisible, and the humans run faster and jump higher. I haven't actually tested this map yet because nobody on my friends list plays Halo 4 so everything is subject to change (to make it more fun/more fair).

    I want to stress the fact that the point of this map is to find secret spots and areas, because these secrets lead to teleporters and/or awesome weapons.... and the fact that you only start with a magnum so you MUST find a weapon to defend yourself.

    Oh god, I was hoping the object textures on Erosion would blend in fine with the colosseum space. Shame.

    Anyways, this map reminds me a lot of Ghost Busters from Halo 3, mainly because the flood is invisible and humans can go into these nooks and crannies within the town. This looks interesting though. Good job!

    I was thinking the exact same thing. Might remake something like this on a different map.

    Si Señor. I am fortunate enough to own a Hauppauge HD PVR, and i took the screen shots by importing the video into Sony Vegas and using the screen capture function and upload direct to Photobucket.

    You might want to change the way that the flood are able to get into the map. The man cannon is fairly predictable for a landing spot, and people may be inclined to just camp that spot before the flood ever hit the ground.

    I guess I didn't really pay attention to the spawn points and stuff, but I'd make initial spawns in the blocked off flood/man cannon area, then make sure to sprinkle some flood-specific respawn points at different locations around the map so that they don't get stuck spawning from the same area.

    Noted. I'll see what i can do seeing as how my budget is completely maxed.

    Totally agree. I wish they kept the general look reach objects as well as the new ones, because the reach ones would look great here. Anyways, great map, but I would suggest next time to make sure the textures fit in better. :)

    It looks like flood can jump over the cover glass from their spawn. Before the man cannon even spawns.

    Yeah, I'm not sure I may need to re-layout this map. I gotta put more thinking/effort and time into how it actually works and plays.

    I'd make the walls a bit higher in the flood spawn or make the flood heavier so they can't jump over it ;o
