They don't have water collision on Erosion and Ravine. You just fall through.

No, I haven't bought it, but my friend said that he will give me one of his in a week through the mail.

Yes, I brought up multiple points regarding the forge system, not the gametypes.

Yes. They made it a killzone because there's no water collision on those maps. There's water collision on Forgeworld.

Yeah, I'm not sure that can be patched. And honestly this makes me a little bit happy. There were very few maps that used water you could walk in in a way that was not annoying as hell, and usually they were in a glitched section of the water anyway.

As for them fixing the issues I am going to risk some trust on them actually doing so as I heard they had said they were surprised when they realized it had been left out. Not that that says much for the company that they forgot it, but hopefully it means they will fix it.

People's misuse of water is no reason to remove the option of using it. I've seen many maps that use water very well.

According to the member of CA I was speaking to, "the magnet replaced the nudge". So, it sounds like it was intentional.

Yes I'll add that to the list, a lot of people have been asking for it. I'll work on this thread more tonight. I'm traveling all day, and using my phone right now.

magnet = snapping points in random places on the object =/= nudge = moving objects very small amounts

I'm not sure I mind the removal of forging slightly underwater anymore. Shallow water was almost never used for gameplay purposes anyway.. and if it reduces taxation on the engine (splash noises, whatever, footprints in sand) then I'm OK with it.

Who else is pissed off at the bumps underneath bridge pieces? Can't really use the bottoms anymore..

ew, magnets. The function, especially when working with a variety of angles, just feels clunky to me as the strength is either too high, too low, or the snapping points just aren't in the correct place I need them to be. I don't use them nor the d-pad functions at this point, lol.

i've gotten used to the magnets and i've got to say that i absolutely love them.

they are awkward at times, but they speed up the process immensely and can be extremely useful for snapping together floors and walls without wasting a lot of time.

I am with Auburn. The magnets almost never seem to be in the places I need them (especially corners, probably because of edge tapering). I'm just putting the objects down in their approximate place and editing their coordinates for a second until they fit. Magnets can't match the functionality of nudge.

    Good News.

    CA replied to my message.

Certain Affinity seem very approachable, my faith is restored.

    I mentioned:
UNSC Air Vehicle, Missing gametypes, Precision editing, Zoom in monitor mode, and the unnecessary soft kill barriers.

I still don't feel like they're going to deliver.

I'm hoping I'm wrong, but it looks like they're just dismissing you.

Getting a response is still decent news though.

Don't they mean inconveniences, or did I miss something?

Tell them to make the pieces look better too ;D

I use magnets for more of a 'roughing out' sort of function. I then use <Edit Coords> to fine place it.

Magnets aren't really meant for precisions placing, just to get stuff in place quickly before you totally smooth it out. And in that function it works great.

Agreed, I have found areas where magnets are extremely helpful, especially for lining up height when objects are on very strange rotations. It's not a tool I use a lot, but when I need it it's nice to have.

I sent this to CA today, I think it pretty much covers all the things that I find irritating in H4 forge

    did I miss anything?

    Dominion doesn't allow:

    -Free for all mode
-normal building blocks to spawn, limiting the fortifying of bases to a few simply items rather than whole buildings that could be added on.
-starting dominion with a capture post dedicated to a team glitches it out, saying it still needs to be captured and it doesn't fortify or resupply.
